I recently had a one-night stay at Prem Plaza Karnal hotel with my wife, and I would like to share my review:
Positives: The hotel offered nice, spacious, and hygienic rooms with all the necessary facilities. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options, and the location and ambience were excellent.
Room for Improvement: The valet parking system was not up to par as they left my car outside the hotel instead of parking it inside after the rush was cleared. Moreover, they provided mini bar items and snacks in the room without our consent and later charged for them at check-out. To enhance guest experience, the hotel should either avoid placing such items in the room or ask during check-in whether guests want them. Alternatively, they could charge for the mini bar items during the refill, ensuring guests are informed of the charges beforehand.
Long Check-out Process: During check-out, it took an uncomfortably long time as they sent a person to check whether the mini bar items were used or not, resulting in unnecessary delays and discomfort for the guests. The hotel should review this policy to streamline the check-out process and ensure a more pleasant experience for their guests.
Staff Experience: The reception staff was a bit rough, and they didn't assist with our luggage during check-in or check-out. Additionally, it seemed like their behavior varied based on the appearance of the guests, with a different approach towards 'well dressed ' people compared to others. I believe the owner should provide proper training to the staff regarding courtesy and unbiased behavior towards all guests.

The food quality was very poor — several dishes were either cold, bland, or tasted stale. Many guests personally complained about the taste and variety, which was extremely embarrassing for us as hosts.
The service was equally disappointing. The staff was inattentive, slow, and seemed completely disorganized. Many tables were left unattended for long periods, guests had to repeatedly call for water and other basic items, and the staff lacked basic courtesy and professionalism.
