I celebrated my son’s first birthday at Ramoji Resorts, Hathras, on 10 April 2024, inviting around 90 guests to what was supposed to be a memorable occasion. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory, particularly when it came to the food service. I personally gathered feedback from 10 guests, and every single one of them voiced the same concern—the food service was terrible.
The snacks were served only once, and when they ran out, there was no effort to replenish them. This left many children and guests disappointed. Only the people who arrived early managed to get snacks, while the rest were left waiting and frustrated.
The main course suffered the same issue. Initially, the food stalls were well-stocked, but as soon as the first round of guests got their plates, the staff made no attempt to refill the dishes. One of the biggest disappointments was the dessert. Rasmalai, which was supposed to be a highlight, was out of stock throughout most of the evening, there was only liquid left with barely any actual dessert, and when it was finally replenished, there were only few guests left.
What was most upsetting was that out of the four curries, the two more expensive ones like the ones made out of paneer were deliberately kept in short supply, and only the cheaper, regular options were restocked. The tandoori bread was out of stock for most of the event, and guests had to make do with rice only. It felt like the management was trying to cut corners and maximize profit, which is deeply frustrating when you're hosting such a special event.
Despite repeated requests from multiple guests, the staff ignored and did nothing to resolve the situation. It was disheartening and embarrassing for me as a host, especially when my goal was to create a wonderful experience for my guests.
Aside from the ambiance, which is admittedly quite nice, everything else fell short. It’s clear that Ramoji Resorts is capitalizing on its monopoly in Hathras, offering a beautiful setting but failing to deliver on the essentials of hospitality. It feels like they’re banking on people booking the venue for its ambiance and then neglecting the most important aspect—service and gaining profits out of that. What should have been a joyful, memorable day ended up being a source of frustration and embarrassment which remained with me...
Read moreThief? We returned on our own after 1.5 to 2 hours, and yet you call us thieves and thugs? We've never come across such rude and unprofessional owners and staff. They simply refuse to stand by the promises they made, and instead try to put pressure on the customer just to cover up their own mistakes.
And no, no one "ran away" — we walked into the office ourselves. If we really had any intention of escaping, no one could have stopped us anyway.
They didn’t even show us the full CCTV footage, clearly because they know their own staff was the last person to enter a non-checkout room without the customer’s permission.
As for the so-called “apology” — we made no such apology. We only gave a small amount after repeated requests from their staff, who were making emotional appeals saying they'd have to pay from their own pocket.
Overall, such a terrible experience. Still, I genuinely hope they get more customers like us — maybe then they'll learn something about professionalism and honesty.
Worst event experience ever. The managers have zero coordination among themselves. They didn’t even know the final menu that had been finalized three days before the event. This lack of organization caused unnecessary delays to our function.

Reply to Response: Who go for the apology? Your staff entered our room before checkout without permission, and no one seems to know who was responsible for the incident. We made the payment out of our own moral values, not because of your insistence. We didn’t want your poor staff to suffer over such a small amount. This was by far the worst experience & mind your language, we had make payment approx Rs. 2 lakh for our function. you people don't know how to make customer satisfy with our hospitality & our guest wait 1 hours for starters & you guys don't know the whole menu which decide at time of booking.
