Think before booking here. It is very remote with no access to anything else. No cabs or restaurants near by. Very poor service and the full plans get ruined. If u r looking for a beach ambience here, this is not the place. Kalapathar looks nearby from the maps but difficult to get cabs. The roads from kalapathar to this place are really bad.

We made an utter mistake in booking a hotel far from Havelock jetty and when i say far it is 10km. It was 2.7km far from Kalapathar beach and the condition of roads is really pathetic. Any driver from havelock was charging 3k per trip up and down from the hotel. We stayed here for three days. The flush in the toilet was not working properly. Even after informing them, they did nothing. They used to power off AC and geyser as and when they liked and we had to go to the reception in another building. Not to mention the owner’s number not being reachable many a times and no landline option. Owner was personally managing everything, no separate manager or receptionist. No changing of linens or toiletries or clearing trash. We had a three days stay, they did not change the bath towels even after asking. Had to ask repeatedly to get it changed. We asked to book for scuba diving slot at 6am. He changed the slot to 9am without even informing us and said he arranged a car for 8:30am. We did not get any cab even at 10am and finally had to do scuba at 12 noon. We couldn’t visit elephant beach at all. The whole mood of the trip was ruined by all this. He said the cab drivers from the jetty are cheating us, convinced us to cancel the booked cabs and scuba and finally when we checked out, he gave us a bill charging the same 1500 one way and lecturing us. On the day we arrived, we ordered food and we got it very late. The same night he convinced us to have his buffet food (4 items) as it would take time for other items. The next day, the same happened - he said it’s difficult for ala carte order and served rice, roti, salad, fish curry and a veg side dish on the table. There is no question as to what we want and all this is billed separately though we did not order. The food served was ok taste wise. The last day we booked a cab again for 7:45am and it came at 8:20am. Based on our experience, we booked it with a buffer time luckily to catch the ferry to Neil island. The only good experience here was the...

We were travelling in group of 4 and reached resort in the evening after travelling whole day to celebrate new year at this resort. Once reached, we waited for 30 min for owner to arrive for room allotment. This is what happened after owner arrived:

AC is not working in both the rooms and hence we were asked to book another resort. As per owner, this is the "technical" issue which can't be avoided. As per owner, he tried contacting us multiple times to inform same but we didn't get even single call since morning. For next 30 min, owner tried finding room in other resort, humiliating us saying rooms are available at higher price in other resort which we will not be able to pay. We thought of staying without AC but owner refused saying there is direct sunlight and we will not be stay without AC. At this point, we asked owner to show the room without working AC. Instead he showed 2 room where he and his children was already staying. This made us very clear he was lying since the beginning and then we decided to leave immediately.

As per response from owner in other reviews by my friends: a) The owner had shifted his family to the bad AC rooms so that he could accommodate you people atleast in working ac rooms. = You didn't even showed us working AC rooms. Both the rooms that you showed, you and your family were staying. Stop lying please. b) Although our efforts just couldn't satisfy you and hence you decided to leave = What efforts are you talking about? Wasting our time or humiliating us. Please clarify. We left because we got sick of your lies. c)We did offer alternate accomodation = No you didn't. You just wasted our time. Eventually we had to book other resort via MMT. d) Even offered for compensation = You didn't offer even a glass of water. Forget about the compensation. e) As such technical issues may arrive every now and then = Yeah right. AC stopped working in 2 rooms which we booked. You could have think of better excuse than this one.

Last but not least, owner mentioned he has initiated the refund but nothing was initiated as per MMT customer care.

Thanks for ruining our holiday and new year at such...

Would recommend this place to anyone staying at Havelock... hands down, the best place to stay, in the midst of nature, quaint setting, lovely farms and plantations, ponds and lawns with nice sit outs.

The rooms are spacious... stayed in a chalet, a king size bed on the ground floor and a couple of more king sized beds in the mezzanine floor. Very clean and AC + fans are adequate to cool the room. Bedding and comforters were cozy enough to help us recharge ourselves for the fun activities thru the day.

Food, almost entirely cooked from the vegetables grown within the property (completely organic) and country chicken is simply outstanding. Breakfast has been the highlight - loads of farm grown fruit, variety of Indian brekkies and the standard bread sandwiches with eggs build enough energy to literally attack any activity at the beaches / hikes with gusto.

But the best of all is the Service... the owner, Mr. Manick Lal Saha is so hands on and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the local spots to visit and activities to go for but doesnt impose. His passion is evident when he takes you thru the 4.3 hectares of property - the fruit bearing trees, the flower beds, the natural ponds, the geese and fishes! Anything requested - additional pillows or water or a quick clean up... is provided for / served immediately, and with a smile. Whats more, they have pick up and drop (though I didn't use it) and Mr. Saha mentioned he can arrange for day activities if required.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and recommend Park Resort to folks visiting Havelock. Whole hearted...

It was definitely an quality and splendid experience at Park Resort being run by a father and son duo. They both are very responsive, friendly and amazing human beings. I can say park resort is a one-stop solution for your vacation. All the outdoor activities would be arranged by themselves including forest trek, scuba diving and even local transport. And, the food that they serve is purely organic and homely which tastes truly delicious. In their menu, the Must Try's are Country Chicken Biryani, Mach Paturi (Non-veg), Begun Bahar (Veg) and many more. You will get breakfast as complimentary. In park resort, they offer three types of rooms i.e., Family room (for 5-6 pax), Suite with balcony (for couple) and a Luxury Suite (for couple). We had opted for suite with balcony for which they charged us INR 2,500 per night viz. value for money which includes a free pick-up from the jetty to resort upon your arrival at Havelock. Prices may vary according to the seasonal changes. Since, this is located deep inside the Havelock, you will get to experience high levels of oxygen, peace and calmness surrounded by the nature. Without an second thought, I can strongly recommend this place to anyone.

Myself and my family spent 8 days in total at the Park Resort (5 days then came back for another 3) It’s a wonderful place to stay while on Havelock. The farm is tucked away in the countryside away from all the package holiday madness of the resorts. It’s in beautiful serene surroundings with only birdsong and frog chatter (instead of the horrid generator hum in the town) to go to sleep and wake up to. The owners are so helpful and friendly with an excellent communication on what’s app. And the food!! WOW THE FOOD is amazing!! Using fresh produce direct from the farm, the owners wife cooks delicious fresh meals every day - each day we ate different breakfasts and dinner.. and she very very kindly made a special non Spicy option for our 5 year old daughter - ever day. We really felt at home here. The A/C rooms (with excellent Wi-Fi) were a relief in the afternoon heat. The beaches are really close - we even walked through the nearby jungle and found isolated idyllic beaches to spend our days at. I HIGHLY recommend staying here. I felt like I was really on an Andaman Island rather than the packages experiences the resorts offer. MUST VISIT
