Positives :-|Great hotel, great experience. What scenic views. We stayed for 1 night 3 people at ₹10k with breakfast but worth the price, yet a little overpriced too. The hotel, it's staff, ambience are literally amazing.|Good food available in their restaurant at decent price.|The authentic village views combined with the breathtaking views really make your day, legit!!|Quick and responsive service by the housekeeping staff.|Negatives :-|As we were a family of 2, we requested the staff to accommodate us in nearby cottages. During checkin, 2 nearby cottages were not available. Later when a guest checked out, we requested the staff to shift one of the rooms but the staff lied saying some work was going on although the cottage was open and upon inspection, we found that the cottage was perfectly fine and ready for the next day. So definitely guest request ignorance is neither appreciated not appropriated.|The location of the hotel is on a weird cliff which makes it harder for guests to reach to the property, even after using Google Maps. To add to the confusion, the locals know the hotel as "MUD HOUSE" and not as Kasauli Ggaon. So to ask directions from local, refer the hotel as "MUD HOUSE". Due to this, our arrival got delayed by approximately 45 minutes.|The raw staff with sense of traditional Indian hospitality could be trained to be a little more professional.|The amenities in the hotel premise could be improved a bit. I mean there's literally nothing additional in the hotel apartment from the breathtaking views and amazing rooms. Swimming pool was closed. We were not allowed to lit the bonfire as the weather was not deemed condusive by the staff. The playing activities for kids were not maintained and/or broken, except chess board.|Buffett spread for breakfast is kind of basic and not expansive like decent and good hotels, however the taste was good.|You have to do a little bit of trekking to reach to your cottage and to and fro restaurant with no assistance of wheelchair and/or lift for old people.|Takeaways/Recommendations :-|Don't stay for more than 1 night. Not worth it unless you wanna enjoy the serene views and just unwind and relax. You might get bored otherwise.|Trip typeHoliday · Family|Rooms5.0Service4.0Location3.0|Hotel highlightsGreat view · Quiet|RoomsGreat authentic village vibe rooms with decent modern amenities.|SafetyOpen yet safe, thanks to their guardrails and 360° fencing - facing directly the forests.|Food and drinksImprovements needed. Read moreStayed for 4 days 3 nights with family Rooms : one of sink in the bathroom was leaking. They could repair it partly after 1 day. Room lighting is not good for reading books.
Service : My perception:The manager is rude and does not belong to the hospitality industry. Last Incidence On the day of check out I asked him to send the bill into my room for checking it, however, he said this cannot be sent and I have to come to reception to check the bill . He even refused the send the photo/soft copy of the bill . On being asked, he told me to come after 15 minutes to check the the bill. When I went there, the bill was not prepared and he told very rudely that since he did not get the bill from hotel restaurant ( under his control) he could not prepare the bill. Anyway receptionist came and gave a rough bill, which when checked had an error of Rs 600 . When I asked for the corrected bill, receptionist said he will Whatsapp it while the manger was watching ( What ?? soft copy, ask your manager first). I told him that I will collect the bill now just tell me the time . When I again went to collect the bill they only gave me food bill and told room rent bill is not prepared as I have not specifically asked for it . ( What ..? are you not supposed to give room rent bill to every hotel guest) he told me he can prepare it if i want . As I have already spent around 1 hour in this process, I chose not to collect the room rent bill .
other Incidences I called the hotel restaurant and placed the order for dinner , the person told me to come after 1 hour dinner will be ready however when we went to have dinner we were told that no order was placed. Mr Hardev, however, did provide the service one of the few persons you can rely . Sink was leaking we told the reception in the morning however in the evening when asked again they told the person has gone somewhere and will repair it when he comes . Toiletries ( dental kit /slippers) were provided on being asked and are not given if you don't ask You call on reception and next time when you call again, a new person attends the call and rudely tells you that no previous service request has been placed.
Location is excellent . You can do trekking nearby Road to hotel ( 3km) is patchy but if want remote location then this is part and...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at A Kasauli Ggaon by Echor, and I must say, it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the misleading location to the appalling state of the rooms, this establishment fell far below any reasonable expectations.
First and foremost, let's address the issue of location. Despite assurances from the manager that the property was only 1 km away from civilization, the reality was quite different. The actual distance turned out to be over 5 km, and navigating the non-motorable road was a costly and tedious affair. Taxi drivers took advantage of the remote location, demanding exorbitant fares just to reach the hotel—a blatant exploitation of unsuspecting guests.
Upon arrival, it became immediately apparent that cleanliness was not a priority at A Kasauli Ggaon. The rooms were in a deplorable state, with used towels and glasses left behind from previous guests. This blatant disregard for hygiene speaks volumes about the management's lack of attention to detail. Additionally, the rooms themselves were cramped and claustrophobic, a far cry from the spacious accommodations depicted in the photos.
To add insult to injury, there was a glaring lack of standardization among the rooms. While one room boasted an air conditioner, the other was equipped with nothing more than a standing fan. This inconsistency in amenities further underscored the haphazard nature of the establishment's operations.
Considering the exorbitant rates charged by A Kasauli Ggaon, one would expect a level of quality and service commensurate with the price. However, the reality was far from it. The amount demanded for such subpar accommodations is nothing short of outrageous and completely unjustifiable.
In conclusion, my experience at A Kasauli Ggaon by Echor was a complete disaster from start to finish. I would strongly advise against anyone considering a stay at this establishment, as the inconvenience, lack of cleanliness, and exorbitant costs far outweigh any potential benefits. Save yourself the trouble and seek accommodations elsewhere—your sanity and wallet...
