We stayed with family (4 ladies 2 gents) for a night. The place is secluded from main Kasauli (about 10 KM from Mall road) and only if you wish to stay in such places, plan for it. I didn't have a pleasant stay due to many reasons and we made the owner aware of all these issues. I understand maintaining property this far from main city is challenging but once you decided to open it, you must ensure that at least basic necessities like water is available. No tourist wants to face water crisis away from home wanting to spend some quality time away from daily life issues. I somehow feel no one checked our rooms before our arrival. Water crises- one of our rooms didn't have any water in flush, we had to change the room, so half of the family was staying in second floor and other half in first floor. When I objected, I was told that it is nowhere mentioned that you will get adjacent rooms. Agreed, but we would have to face issues with water was also not told to us. Next day morning, our "deluxe room" bathroom tap stopped working. I was asked to keep all tabs open and I did it for 15 mins, Finally not to waste any more water, one of us took bath in the upper floor room allocated to us. Cleanliness- The bedsheet and pillow covers were dirty and didn't seem to be cleaned/washed. I am attaching pictures as owner has refuted claims of all guests who gave this property low ratings. The condition of rooms- The paint on the walls was peeling and damp. TV was not rechared and was recharged only after our request.
though very few, but would like to appreciate the efforts from the single staff to serve us food and water climbing up and down many times. The views from Balcony was pleasant to eyes. Food from nearby restaurant was delicious. I appreciate the staff to take care of our food & snacks related needs. The behavior of owner Harsh is well behaved and soft spoken and was genuinely sorry for the issues we faced, and of course wanted us to rate this property higher, but I am just being honest with whatever...

We planned to stay here for a day, but ended up staying a week! That's our experience of Hillock in a line :) It's serene, it's cozy, it's blissful, and the food here was just out of this world!
Starting from Mukesh ji, who makes the best food we've ever had (including his Dum Aaloo, kadai paneer, Daal, chana masala, and even his sandwiches! Everything was just mouth-wateringly good).
And the hospitality was 7-star! Our dog (Oscar) loved ever bit of his stay here.
Ever room here has a sunset view. And at night you can see the beautiful Chandigarh lights nestled away in those mountains!
And the waterfall, which is just a km away from this place, was our favourite hangout place!
Everything about this place was just blissful. And every person met us with a cheerful smile and would go miles to help us out!
Thank you for the...
Read moreOur stay at hillock was wonderful... Balcony had amazing view... The owner, staff, especially the manager was quite polite, attentive and helpful. Food was great just like home. Shikanji offered as Welcome drink served was also refreshing. Good for solo , couple, group and family trips! There is a trek to a local temple, that is also very good and one can visit the place. Waterfall is nearby. All in all if you are looking for a quiet, isolated, close to nature and enjoy some quality time with your partner, family and friends , Hillock is the best option. Its 10km away from kasauli which can b travelled by taxi or bus. Jangeshu bus stand is just adjacent to...
