We stayed at this hotel last week. Before booking we had specially clarified on availivility of heaters. On arrival at around 3pm, no one proactively mentioned that 3 of their heaters have been damaged so the can not provide. Tje care taker infact said he will provide one in each of the two rooms we booked.
In the eve at around 5.30 he came and installed a heater at my room, the heater has only one rod active. Still he did not mention any issue for the other room where my aged parents were staying.
At 6pm when I visited my parents room for some work, I came to know no heater was given. It is at this point the care taker mentioned they donot have any heaters left.
When we called manager, he was firstly adamant that such issues are common in Kaza, we should have researched etc. He said we can shift to othet hotels. Imagine the outlook and thinking of him, rather than accepting his fault he asks us to leave post 6.30pm.
We spent 3 hrs arguing and banging out head. Finally they got new heaters at 7.30 pm.
Next day we discovered gyser does not work too. The management has no take on it, they said guests keep on coming so we donot know the situation. We honestly did nkt have energy left to argue further.
There is something wrong with them. Book on your own risk.
There are the major issues we faced. Addtik ally washrooms were dirty and glassed.were stained. There were worked on when...
Read moreWe a group of 14 ppl with 7 bikes had stay in White House, Kaza. Which was not in initial itinerary. We were on bike trip to Spiti valley and had to abandon our trip due to cloud burst in HP, this July 2023. We came down to Kaza from Kibbar and halted for 4 days in White House Kaza. We had very hearty experience with the awesome hospitality and quality food here. The owner couple and their family made us ease and helped us to come out of the insecurity feeling and boost our moral. The entire atmosphere/ nature was so dangerous and so was our experience in biking from Kibbar to Kaza. We were almost survived with God’s favour on us. In this down moral we were welcomed and the owners made us comfortable. The hospitality and the treatment made us to boost our minds and we were back on our bike track to return home. The rooms are very clean and specious so as the bathrooms. They have a Genset backup. The white glacier and peaks makes us glorified from the windows. In nights one can view billions of stars with the clear vision to The Milky-way. The White House is very much near to bazar and one can go to Himalayan Cafe or Piti Cafe for taste change. We had a very comfortable and familiar stay at White House. We all are very thankful to...
Read moreIt's my fourth visit to Kaza. This time I got an opportunity to stay in Hotel White House here with my wife, which was not at all a costly one. I must mention the homely and gentle hospitality with professional arrangements. The entire establishment is neat and clean. Hot water and room service are great. Electricity is a chronic problem in the town. Rooms are large and spacious with three compartments in each - a very the big bedroom with two large windows covered with decorative curtains, facing river Spiti just in the front and the series of snow-capped mountains; the 2nd compartment is a medium size room you will face just on unlocking your room containing a cupboard in which the boarder may at ease keep paraphernalia, and the 3rd compartment is a spacious bathroom with Western style toilet and wash basins - everything is neatly maintained. The dining hall below is beautiful with all wooden furniture. Cleanliness is the first thing that will attract anyone. It's a delightful experience for us. The management was very cordial and attentive all along. I strongly recommend my fellow travellers to stay...
