Kasauli Evergreen Homestay by Splendid Hotels — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

We stayed here overnight only because we found a good deal on booking.com! Just for some perspective, our dinner (4 phulkas, dal and egg bhurji) cost 50% of the room tariff! As mentioned in other reviews, great views, yes, lovely quiet place and you actually wonder if it's the correct location on reaching the property! The room itself is very clean and comfortable as also the bathroom, but I suspect because it's fairly new with very little occupancy. All rooms have balconies - funnily, I got a message from the "manager" that he "upgraded" us free, to a room with balcony :) As you enter on the first floor, they have a restaurant set up outside the rooms, that looks pretty shady, with dim lit red lighting and artificial grass on the walls. Strange design for the bathroom - it's the closet as you open the door, then the wash basin and shower - and it's the first place I've stayed where water flows well in the shower than in the tap! Ok only for bachelor boys - would NOT recommend...

A special mention to Mr. Sumit, the owner, who is extremely warm, welcoming, and ensures every guest feels at home. His personal touch made the stay even more memorable.

Overall, Hotel Evergreen is an excellent place to stay in Kasauli. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, good food, and a peaceful experience...
