Kiarighat — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

My son and I stayed at the place just the last weekend. I am a senior citizen and we chose the place because of its location, large open spaces to relax in. We have often had brief breaks at the Apple Cart Inn over several years, but this is the first time we stayed for two nights. Overall, the experience was excellent on all fronts. However, I’d like to add some advice that’ll make the place even better for the elderly and physically disabled. (1) Please add grab bars in the toilets, especially the shower area. (2) A glass partition separating the shower area is a must to keep the toilet floor dry and prevent accidents due to slipping on wet floors. Nice, cosy, and uncrowded stay before Shimla. Good value for money because it is reasonable and prices are not exorbitant as in Shimla. Better-than-usual services, even by HPTDC standards, because I guess the staff goes an extra mile. Also, it has only 6 rooms so staff's attention is not spread all over the place.

My favourite restaurant in the area. HPTDC does a good job here. Set in a colonial dak bungalow settings the huge lawn by hill standards takes the cake. The food is excellent. The staff is extremely courteous. Sipping beer accompanied by their signature lemon chicken is an experience I always look forward to.
