Recently, we (Kamal & Madhava) were fortunate enough to visit a place away from the city hustle-bustle, where there is peace, tranquillity and harmony with nature at Shoja, Himachal Pradesh. We booked our stay with ‘No Society Café & Homestay’ after a strong endorsement from close friends. The ambience of the homestay is breathtaking as it is in the mid of a valley entirely covered in the lush green vegetation of Cedar Deodar trees. The magical sunrise scene and mystic music of the valley river boost vortex energy in the body. Staff members were very calm and delightful. Our host Dhani Bhai (Nitesh) provided a lot of information about the place and stories of local livelihood. By judging our enthusiastic about exploring the Deodar forest, Dhani Bhai took us to a ~4 hours short trekking tour which ended at a gorgeous waterfall deep inside the forest. Moreover, to explore the local lifestyle, we toured around the village where we saw a water wheel flour mill, vegetable farming and enjoyed having fresh organic cow milk. Treehouse concept was something I have had heard of in stories, but here we liven inside a wooden furnished cosy treehouse. Surprisingly, there was a small upper roof and balcony access inside the room from where mountain view was fantastic. Don't expect to be able to rely on internet coverage everywhere as it is intermittent. Be open to trying new things. The idea of the bonfire in the evening was a great platform to socialise and share the experience. Food options include both veg & non-veg — one must-try local food. We tried traditional healthy Siddu (kind of bread made from wheat flour with a stuffing of vegetables) in breakfast. Finally, I would recommend visiting 'No Society Café & Homestay', not just for convenience but to live & experience typical Himalayan village life at its fundamental essence. Thank you Dhani Bhai for unforgettable memories. You made an enormous difference to our holidays. Hope to meet you soon in the mountains!

Gem of a place and the best hospitality. So the story goes like this. Me and my family were on an impromptu trip to the Tirthan Valley. We decided to visit the historic (Old Britisher's route) Jalori pass. This road is one of the most dangerous road due to its steep elevation. While on our way back, we met with a difficulty, our car tires got heated and it was next to impossible (dangerous)for us to go back to Jibhi on the same day. Luckily, we met Piyush Gupta (Co-Owner: No Society). He was really helpful and suggested us to stay at No society where he gave us two rooms at a great price to stay for the night. The story doesn't end here. Piyush and Raman (Co-Owner) ensured great service was provided to me and my family. We had an evening full of music and the best food (Special recommendation: Chicken Masala, kheer). Both the owners escorted us back to Jibhi to ensure we reach back safely. Not to mention this place has the best view in the Valley.

Planned to stay for a week, ended up staying 2! Nestled right in the middle of Jibhi and Shoja, this place was my home away from home. Overlooks a valley, with trails all around where you can go explore and find a hidden mill, a waterfall, a some natural pools. Met some of the most amazing people there. Piyush is one of the coolest hosts I have ever met, and his small team is as warm as their bonfires and won't let you feel out of place even for a moment. Amazing meals, lively evening jamming sessions, great views, Jenga, and the chilly weather made my workation relaxing and fun at the same time. Special mention to their Rhododendron juice & homemade pizza, do try them first chance you get! Jalori Pass is a short distance away and you can ask Piyush to show you the amazing sunrise or sunset from there. Do explore all the treks and trails the place has to offer!

One of the best places to stay if your around Jibhi or Jalori Pass. I loved the way Piyush and others made us feel comfortable so effortlessly as soon as we reached the stay. The location is so beautiful and quaint in its own way that you would not want to leave the place. The views are truly mesmerizing. You just feel lost amidst the stretch of mountains and pine trees that you see in the surroundings. Such a pleasure to your eyes I would say!! The Cafe definitely has some vibe that would make you feel like home instantly. We were immediately served with tea and coffee upon arrival (food was also served in no time which was amazing). We had opted for the tree house near the river and it was a beautiful experience to stay at that location (must visit). The location was too good with a small stream just a couple of mins away. You have to walk for about 5 mins to reach the tree house. Dinner is either served in the tree house or you can walk back to the cafe (the cafe is too lively so dont miss to spend the night at the cafe). The local food was utterly delicious. Just felt like home :).. The last night in No society was too exciting and lively. Just after dinner Dhaani Bhaiji and Piyush gave a stunning performance. (I had heard how well he sings and it was just one small request to Dhaani Bhaiji to perform that night as we were supposed to leave the next day in the morning and he agreed. Thank you so much!!) Dhaani Bhaiji and Piyush I have to say it was truly fascinating and a pleasure watching you guys play the instruments and sing along. A Night to Remember!! All I can think about is the warm welcome and the amazing hospitality that you guys provide.. just what we look for in a homestay away from home guys.. Really appreciate it.. And yes it was great meeting you Vishesh and your friend (I'm sorry I forgot her name). Lovely long conversations with you guys. We met some really good people at your place too during the stay (Namrata and friend). And thanks to Devender Bhaiji for all the rides he gave us and made sure we dont get bored.. He would always narrate stories about the place and was quite informative about the places we were about to visit.. It was a great time and a pleasure meeting all you guys.. Hope to...

This place is just amazing and soul satisfying. We were a group of 4 friends and stayed in their Treehouse as well as rooms, but spent most of our time in the cafe playing music and jamming with the owners and other guests. Piyush and Nitesh made sure that all the guests enjoy and have fun. We came here to rest and move ahead with our journey, but this place held onto us. We ended up playing music and enjoying around the bonfire till 2 a.m daily and we stayed here for 3 days. The place has its own vibe and it becomes difficult to leave from here. Piyush is extremely accommodating and tries to exceed all your expectations. Nitesh bhai is very humble and great musician. These people and staff made us feel just like family. The cafe is well stocked with music instruments, books, games and other things so that you can spend your time just the way you want. Treehouse is extremely cosy and really a unique experience that you will cherish for your lifetime. You can sleep while gazing at the stars and wakeup with the subtle sounds of stream flowing nearby. The balcony provides a perfect place for morning tea and reading books. You have all the comforts you can wish for. Normal Rooms are also comfortable for staying. Food is good and you must try their Rhodo Lime soda which is extremely refreshing. So if you want to escape from the hustle of city life, this is the place you must visit. You can also stay here and work from here as you can get good internet with Jio and Airtel sims. Perfect place for long stays. As per the owners, it starts snowing in late November and I can't wait to visit this place when it is all surrounded by snow. See you soon Piyush bhai 😁 I would highly...
