Raahgeer — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

Rahgeer, what an amazing b&b we chose to stay over my birthday. To start, the rooms are comfortable, clean and modern. The view from our room was the most wonderful to wake up to, and we felt at peace.

Unfortunately during my stay, I was very unwell. However, Abhinav (our host) and Nitu (the caretaker) made me feel super reassured and looked after. Abhinav went above and beyond as a host, recommending doctors, organising transport and giving us advice on what to do. As well as this, preparing birthday decorations & flowers for me during this time was more than what I would expect from a host.

Nitu prepared me ginger & lemon tea, as well as food that would help my illness. I really cannot say how grateful I am to have been staying here, and Abhinav was above all the most accommodating and helpful host we had the pleasure of meeting on our travels throughout India.

If you are in Shimla, this wonderful B&B is a short 3km from the busy Mall centre, with local buses, shared & private taxis easily available. Highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Shimla anytime soon.

This was our very first trip with our little one. At first we were quite hesitant in booking the place, but then we talked to Abhinav, the owner he assured us that we will have a great time here and he will help us in settling down, so after a lot of discussion we booked this place for 5 nights and I must say this was the best decission he met us the day we checked in and was very kind to say that we could call him at any hour. He took good care of us, offering complimentary tea at the check-in, to spoiling us with delicious homemade food, fulfilling all our demands. We even met his mother, aunty was so sweet, we both love gardening and she had planted so many plants so I was quite curious to meet her and take few plants on the way back home! I had a wonderful stay at Raahgeer with my mother. We were there for 5 days and each of them was memorable. The sunset outside the window that you can enjoy from the comfort of your bed is a treat. The balcony (depends on the room) opens into mountain slopes with conifers as far as you can see with the growing Shimla City on the mountain tops. The facilities in the property and the warmth of the hosts are exceptional. They took great care of my mother and checked in periodically to know how we were doing.

The property itself is located away from the hustle bustle of the city but only takes a 10-minute can ride to The Ridge/Mall Road. I'd absolutely recommended Raahgeer to anyone who'd like a home-like vibe and...
