We have been to Ramgarh Heritage Villa during 19th May 2019 to 25th May 2019. We were 10 members. We reached property around at 09.00 pm and it was a fumble there as out of our four pre-booked rooms, two were given to someone else. After having word with owner, he assured us to give our pre-booked rooms (which were booked in december 2018) after two nights. It was a fumble but due to that some members from our family group had chance to explore the rooms which are on outside of this beautiful property.||It was a great experience to stay at this heritage property. A fair bit of distance away from the regular crowd and in the middle of the kullu and Manali. The property itself is huge and beautifully done up with colonial atmosphere. The rooms and bathrooms were absolutely clean with all luxury amenities that you need. ||The royal suit also had a large balcony overlooking the manali highway and beautiful landscape. The food at the ramgarh villa was simply amazing. For that matter there wasnt anything that I could complain of. Team of caretakers like Abhishek, chandresh and two more wewre really keen to take your orders and implement it till your satisfaction. Special Thanks to Abhishek and Chandresh Team.||Owner of the property Mr.Nakul Khullar is a great host. He arranged our pick and drop as well as site seeing very nicely. He is keen to visit you and know about your comfort timely. He also kept his word to allot us our reserved rooms after two nights. Thanks a Lot Nakulji.||This property is having five rooms in old house. 2 are family suits (each suit can occupy 04 members) and three are garden suits which can occupy two adults. ||Apart from Old house this property also offers stay in two Honeymoon cottages which are in vicinity to old house.||||Tree House for children, bonfire, orchards and many more.....||Overall, this was the best summer trip I have had. Has been an awesome experience. I will highly recommend this place...
Read moreIt is impossible to describe the delight I felt on seeing this 1928 heritage English Countryside cottage hidden within the Raisen orchards, next to the mighty Beas. There are 5 rooms within the house, all exquisite with heritage furniture and all being different. The room on level 1 has a terrace in addition from where the sunrise can be beautifully seen (I was in this room). All rooms (2 suites) on the ground floor open out to the beautifully horticultured gardens. The orchards effectively hide 2 other cottages which are more recently built. This is essentially a luxury homestay experience and I must say that I was pampered as the solo guest here. Mr Om Thakur, the supervisor, Mr Subhash, the chef and Mr Jitendra, the caretaker, made it very special for me.||I am making a list of the awesome himachali culinary experience that I had here and I recommend this to one and all. ||1. Siddu with Walnut stuffing (this is homegrown delicious walnut)|2. Sepuvadi with Dahi|3. Aloo Chana madhra|4. Kangra kadhi|5. Kaddu ka Mentha|6. Kale chane ka khatta with paneer kachori|7. Chilladu|8. Patruda||All the above was made from the vegetable gardens and orchards in the property. ||I would not do the property justice without describing the tree house. This was a dream! One climbed up the machan on a wooden staircase and it was a lovely experience, both during the day to just sit there, watch the roads and the Beas and sip tea and during the evening, watching the mountain lights. This experience was unforgettable.||Mr Om Thakur was very courteous and kind. He accompanied me to a walk to the Beas river, about 1 km away, as well Om a small hike to the Durga temple on the hills at the backside of the country house through the orchards and the village. My lunch on the day trip to Manali was beautifully made, so much so that I couldn't eat much in Manali! ||Overall, an...
Read moreRamgarh Villa is a quiet, colonial era property at a superb location just off the main Kullu-Manali highway. The approach to the property atop a hill is a half-concrete, half-grass narrow track which allows only a single four-wheeler at a time. There is a small marker board as you start up the hill, a little unsure whether the desolate track is leading you up to the right place or not. There are again no boards marking the property which you finally discover is nestled amidst a pomegranate orchard. You realise that you are at home-stay rather than a hotel. ||We were given a family suite in the main bungalow with two rooms which had a modern bathroom and a re-furbished ceiling. However, it still smelled a little musty.|| The staff at the bungalow were most hospitable and made us as comfortable as possible. A special mention must be made of the food which was fresh, homely and wholesome. ||The other charms of the villa include a tree-house which provides a panoramic view of the Beas and the surrounding hills and mountains. ||Overall. a comfortable, peaceful and serene stay in the lap of nature, offering repose from the city. But one strongly felt that the place requires a better up-keep. A creaking, shabby door to a modern bathroom is quite a mismatch! Also, a better painting job and fresh furnishings can really upgrade the place without sacrificing the...
