Located in a very serene and beautiful area, this fort had served as a residential fort for the royal family for decades before it was abandoned during Indian independence. Now the fort has been renovated into a fort cum resort where visitors can get a glimpse of the life during those years and expertise royal living in one of their royal rooms. However the fort wasn’t well maintained recently, probably due to the monsoons. Wild grass growing all around, landscaping, swimming pool, nothing seemed maintained at all. They have built cottages outside the fort as well which seemed maintained. They’ve tried to retain the original structure of the fort by not doing much renovation but it would’ve looked better if they had done some maintenance. There’s an entry fee of ₹350 per person to take a guided tour of the property, 200 for local residents of Ramshahar and free for visitors staying at the property. We were a group of around 40 and they arranged a breakfast buffet for us, but the service was quite slow and took a lot of time to refill the food in time. There’s a very narrow road leading to the fort when you get closer to the fort, not maintained either. However, the road until ramshahar town and the fort entrance was near and clean. 5 stars for the location, apart from that I’d not rate it good. It’s a one time visit place for anyone to learn the history of the fort and if anyone wishes to spend a night in the fort. One thing to keep in mind is that room service is only available if you live in the cottages near the kitchen otherwise they don’t serve in the room built...
Read moreHi, I am giving feedback for Ramsheher Fort where we shoot my Prewedding. the management is really Bad(fraud)over there. The place is good, but if you are going to shoot any pre wedding then make sure you confirm all term and condition because they are real life Dodgy. the actual price for shooting video was 18k but charged us 25k because didn’t booked one day before. That’s fine we paid because we didn’t have option to go back after long drive. even there was no other pre wedding shoots booking on day which could be valid reason for charging extra. there was no facility of doctor or first aid. they asked us for 8k for food, coz there is only one restaurant. in evening when we ask them to make shoot for bone fire they asked for 1500rs for that again. when i asked the Manager( mr. Partaap singh) why you charging this money he said its written in our term and condition. when i check t&c there was nothing written about this money. only was written about some place where photography was prohibited. when i asked him again where is this 1500rs term and condition written, then he replied very rudely its our management system says if you want shooting video them submit 1500 rs. we had to leave our shot just because of these dodgy people. Make sure who ever going over there, please see t&c before booking otherwise they gonna rip u off. Apart from this there was no dishes, towel and other necessary things provided except 2 bottles of water. worst experience i have ever faced in my life. have to select one star otherwise zeroooo star from my side for...
Read moreWe came here for a motorcycle ride on a rainy sunday morning.
Its away from the main road but then again that's what it is meant to be like.
Majority of the way was awesome but the road which eventually reached this fort was in bad shape due to rain and landslides.
We reached the menu and first ordered food as we were told that the food service is very very slow however, the food came on time.
They had a variety of items to be offered for breakfast which was very interesting to see.
The food was good and all of us relished the items. You might think its a fort and the food could be expensive, but it was actually economical. 125
Later on we went for the interior visit of the fort it had a fees but it was worth the money.
I will caption my pictures, and we saw the huge wells of those times along with their jails, haram, garden areas etc.
They have kind of maintained the cave which we entered.
On the last bit of the cave they have made a museum type with pictures of the restoration of the fort which was also interesting.78
The original rooms of the rajas of the time were not well maintained instead they had independent cottages which were impressive as this fort is on top of the hill any side of the fort is a view in itself.
They have a swimming pool and a pool table at the reception and might have a few more things which I could see due to shortage of time.
But definitely worth a visit, you can go with...
