What touched us deeply was her incredible composure and grace — even during a personally difficult time when Uncle Ji, Kartik Bhai’s father, had been hospitalized due to a sudden heart attack just days before our arrival. Despite the emotional turmoil, Aunty Ji responded to every call and request with remarkable patience, kindness, and warmth, making our experience nothing short of extraordinary.

Although I am originally from Bharari, my heart now feels truly at home at Residence Inn Homestay. God willing, I am already eagerly planning my next trip here in the upcoming July–August window.

If you're planning a trip to Shimla and are lucky enough to stumble upon this homestay... Just stop searching and book it immediately. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed not just as guests, but as family.

The location is a dream... offering the kind of Peace and Calm that your usual city life makes you forget. It's conveniently close to the main attractions... just a short, scenic drive from Mall Road, Kufri, and Jakhu Temple.

The homestay itself was a charming blend of Himachali Warmth and Modern Comfort. Our room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with local touches, and had a cozy interior that felt both rustic and refined. The beds were comfortable, and waking up to birdsong and fresh mountain air was something magical... however, what truly sets this place apart, is the hospitality. The hosts were nothing short of extraordinary. Every detail was taken care of... from arranging the Birthday Cake for my daughter to thoughtful suggestions only locals would know. Overall, it was an experience I’ll never forget.

I really enjoyed my stay at your property. Room was sparkling clean, tidy and a welcoming sweet fragrance in every area(even quilts)

Initially I was susceptible as room was really cold and thought we might have look for other option but your mom did a superb job to quickly get installed room heater for us (as socket was tricky to plug in without screw driver) and we were good after an hour and felt fresh to explore outside after a tiring journey.

Through out stay we didn't felt any interference or disturbance as if I was at my own home.

Brownie points : Nice cosy warm quilts (almost new which I felt) *Kitchen was well equipped and we didn't have to carry induction stove for my kid this time.

*Smart TV with all access to premium apps (of course I wasn't able to watch even for 5 min due to my kid who need her rhymes playing through youtube otherwise our phones would be submitted to her.)

Things I noticed : *Although I didn't accessed balcony area due to cold, but view outside the balcony can be beautified via trees or plants (which might be not under your control).

I felt a little scarcity of good restaurants in this area as we both are vegetarians and my wife who didn't eat even onion and garlic). I would suggest to provide some authentic fresh homemade food/ local himachal delicacies to your guests as add-on...
