Shiva Valley Riverside Homestay — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

The Shiva Valley Riverside Homestay is situated in the small village of Gadagusain knows for its mesmerising panoramic grandeur. The homestay was a wholly wooden beautiful construction surrounded by massive pine trees and rich foliage, with a nearby river stream attracting the gushing sound of water throughout the day. Mr. Mohinder, the owner of Shiva Valley, was a gracious and modest gentleman. His entire family, as well as his staff, are always polite and helpful. The amenities in the suites are excellent, and the view from the room is breathtaking. Breakfast and lunches are excellent, especially the local trout. We had a great time at the bonfire all three nights with Mohinder, and we learned a lot about their culture. Mohinder led us on a local sightseeing tour from the very first day. He justifies himself. He goes over every detail of each location and accompanied us at  TUNGASI FORT, which stands at a height of roughly 10000 feet above sea level and  offers 360-degree eye-catching breath-taking views. He also took us to his old house to show us Himalayan culture. Overall, the event exceeded my expectations.

Nature lovers should definitely pay a visit to Shiva Valley Homestay for the greatest hospitality for a riverfront leisurely walk in nature while staying in a homey atmosphere. The owners are wonderful and treat you as if you were one of their own...

On my travel to North India I stayed two weeks in Shiva Valley Homestay. Room was simply, clean and very nice. This place is located near to a beatiful river in a small mountain village. The host Mr. Mohinder and his family was very helpful and hospitable. My stay here was most pleasant and nice. As a foreign Scandinavian traveller this place on earth was very exotic with the Himalayans right behind the corners. The nature, forests and mountain wievs was fantastic. I felt like time has stopped and gone back decades, in a good way. Landscapes and Himachali local peoples lifes so different compared to peoples life here in Northern Europe. In the homestay breakfast and dinners was very tasty , local veg food, spicy if you want it like me. The atmosphere in this place is familiar, friendly , helpful and sometimes also surprising :o) I wish Mr Mohinder and his family all the best and success with this growing business. Hope I can visit your place again in my retirement...
