The Himalayan Odyssey & Cottages — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

This resort Himalayan Odyssey is at a very nice location just near a natural stream. As of Aug 2021, it is 3 years old and is adding additional cottages. All the rooms still look brand new and they are maintained clean. The tiling work/ finishing of the bathrooms and rooms looks great. It has a great Swimming Pool. The resort must make more efforts to implement Rain Water Harvesting, use of Solar Power at a larger scale than what it does now. Ensure that the maintenance is further improved so that there are no seepages in the ground floor rooms. (I observed that from a basin on the dining area of terrace on 1st floor, an unchecked leakage below the basin is causing seepage in another room in the ground floor. Such things must be avoided.) The room service can be made more timely. In one of the rooms the hot and cold water mixer was not functional. Such things need more attention. Worst hotel ever visited. Visited there in December at night. Worst service provided by hotel management. We can’t even expect water will be there in taps in washroom when you want to get fresh. I myself was locked in washroom for about 40mins even after that water was not there. Not even drinking water is provided in room after asking several times, calls are not attended by intercom, no food is provided on asking. Continous tips are asked by workers and management pays no attention to issues raised there. If you are making complete payment in advance for your booking, you will be the ultimate sufferer there. There are not at all on their words which they make when room is booked. After so much hustle you will be getting your work done from hotel side even for getting food and water from them, till that time your mood will be badly ruined. The worst hotel experience I have ever had. The light was cut off by the government when we entered the hotel because of weather issues but they did not even have a generator or any emergency lights. We somehow slept at night and water also stopped coming in the bathrooms. We had to leave early the next day so we had to use the washrooms made for the workers instead of our room bathrooms. Only 1 person was available in the morning to help us with everything and all the rest of the workers were asleep and did not even bother to wake up.
