Below are the reason of my review:
After we came back from swim, we were not able to enter the room as room key card was not working. Surprisingly the master card was also not working. We informed the staff and asked for another which came back to us after around 30/40 mins.
We entered the room but still were waiting to get a key using which we can switch on the lights. Thing to notice here is, I have a 2.5 years daughter who was all wet back from pool and we are waiting for light to come before we can give her a warm bath.
In evening we ordered meal for babies. After waiting for an hour we got to know that we will not receive food as it was raining and they can only send it once rain stops. Shall I keep my kid starving for hours if rain doesn't stop.
We ordered stuffed paratha for kid for which we got plain paratha. I felt I should have kept some food for my kid.
Our fan started leaking which was just over our bed. We were still to have our dinner at that time and were waiting to know where will sleep in night.
Later we realised there was all water on the floor. My daughter was playing and socks got wet and she was already having cold after pool incident.
And in the end at the time when we were changing the rooms, we found out that my daughter was having around 100 fever. We had to take her to the other room in rain and wind.
Next morning, my daughter had 103 fever. We asked hotel to get some child medicine for which they replied that they dont have any facility to send anyone by foot or by drive to get the medicine and it will take like 3-4 hours to get the medicine. And they own 3 luxurious properties side by side without a car.
I wanted to give some lukewarm water to my daughter in fever for which I found that the kettle was not working.
I requested hotel restaurant to send some breakfast out of our buffet in our room as we couldnt leave our daughter in room for which they said that few of the items will be chargeable.
I felt like after spending a fortune on the hotel property, I was a begger there asking and waiting for everything. I had very good image of the property, but the service was disastrous.
If needed I can show my booking at the hotel, this is not a...
Read moreThe place reminds me of the older simpler times. Though it has been around for a long time but it is really well maintained. I was not able to go up to the rooms but today I am posting about the experience I had at there restaurant situated in parwanoo. Location 5* : It is very conveniently located right on the main road while going towards Shimla from Kalka u will not miss it.
Service 5* The staff at the restaurant was really courteous and helpful. they were there when you needed them and took care of all of our requests with ease. They were quick, efficient and friendly.
Ambiance 4* : Ambiance of the restaurant was ok with wooden interiors which gave it a bit of older look which was ok as this place exists here since the 80's. The view from the balcony of the restaurant was awesome but it was really cold out there so we decided to sit inside which was warm and cosy.
Food 5* : Now the Selection of there food was good they almost served every cuisine up to the mark with Indian taste. The quality of food was just amazing and tasted really very good though at the price they are charging they should up the portion size a notch.
Cleanliness 5* : The restaurant was amazingly clean and spotless. The bathrooms were also clean only odd thing was I found a toilet paper roll on the wash basin instead of paper napkins which was odd but rest was pretty clean.
Overall we had a great experience with great food and great service we would really like to come back and hope the things remain the same as they were during our visit would really love to try there rooms which are up the hill and you can also go there by rope way which...
Read moreObnoxious staff, I simple made a request to the staff if you can allow kid to have a ride in the golf cart, and he refused by saying that golf cart services is only for the Moksha guests.
We booked a room at Timber Trails and Heights, but the high cost did not justify and totally unworthy.
The worst letdown is that the swimming pool is only available to those who reserve rooms at the Moksha, despite the fact that the pool is highlighted in the photos of Timber Trail and Heights.
The same property has been split into two categories. It is quite unsettling that if you have a reservation for a room in Timber Trails or Heights, you are not permitted to visit the Moksha section.
There are a few adventure sports available, although they are not worthwhile and you need to pay separately. A small zipline not even 50m for kids is for INR 700.
There was nowhere for children to play outside, and the arcade machines in the gaming room weren't functioning. The restaurant's menu costs are comparable to of five-star hotels, yet the quality isn't even two stars.
They also charged full amount for the kid's khicdi which is even complimentary in 5 star hotels.
If you are an adventurer, I would advise against visiting this overhyped place since the timber trail ropeway operates only until 6 PM, so after you return to the resort, you will be trapped with nothing to do. If you only want to experience the ropeway you can buy a...
