Collection O Lotus Grand — Hotel in Hyderabad

We were on a jolly good trip to Hyderabad and this place seemed like a good option as it was closer to the station and all other facilities and places we wanted to check out. We had a booking for a day for 10 peopel at first and we had planned to extend the same once we reached the place even the first day our requests to check in regarding the kharab air conditioning in the rooms were not addressed. The next day when we extended the booking through oyo for the 4 rooms(deluxe payment done), they right away denied us the booking stating the reason that they no longer are in agreement with oyo and that they won't let us check in. We had to waste a day sitting in their lounge calling back and forth the oyo call center agent and their staff till we got a shifting from this hotel to another. Having to alter our plans and scheduled for the day only because they weren't cooperative nor considerate. We were simply asked ti pay a lot extra if we wanted to check-in into the rooms for the next days over the done deal we had already closed with oyo. Never had we ever come across such an issue while booking with Oyo. While waiting there we saw that they tried this with many of the checking in crowds and some of them did budge. Mainly outsiders. My stay at the hotel left me extremely dissatisfied. The lady seated at the reception (Laxmi) was extremely rude, she was behaving like we had made a mistake by selecting this hotel, the overall experience was disappointing, to say the least. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that the level of service and attention to detail was severely lacking. The staff appeared indifferent and uninterested in assisting guests, making the check-in process unnecessarily long and frustrating. Upon entering the room, I was met with a sense of dismay. The cleanliness standards fell far below expectations, with evidence of dust and grime in various areas. The furnishings were outdated and worn, giving the impression of neglect. Furthermore, the amenities promised were either unavailable or in poor condition. Throughout my stay, I encountered numerous issues that further compounded my dissatisfaction. From malfunctioning appliances to noise disturbances, it seemed as though there was a lack of quality control and maintenance. Even basic requests were met with delays and incompetence, highlighting a clear lack of professionalism among the staff Overall, my experience at the hotel was one of profound disappointment. The hotel property is great, infact best amongst the other options around the railway station. However, it lacked few basic facilities such as ventilation in the rest room. Infact the set top box did not have any channels working other than Doordarshan since they haven't done the subscription. Upon speaking to the manager named Sandeep; it felt like the conversation was falling on deaf ears...in response he claimed to have given me the suite. Further, his attitude was very bad...right from the moment I checked in. Kept me waiting with luggage without offering a place to sit or a glass of water... I had checked in at night and asked if the hot water facility was available... He made a weird face and said a blunt no without any courtesy. Asides, the room had only one electric socket due to which I was unable to use the laptop until I could charge my phone... A three pin socket wasn't made available either. The hotel provides some great breakfast. The quality of butter was superb. The morning staff was great too... They were open for feedback and responded professionally unlike Sandeep.
