Vivanta Hyderabad, Begumpet — Hotel in Hyderabad

After an incredibly hectic journey to India from New Zealand, we arrived at the hotel lobby and were efficiently and quickly shown to our room at just after midnight. We requested a fold out bed for an unexpected extra guest and they were able to accommodate that request as well as include them in the breakfast buffet the next morning. The breakfast buffet is absolutely world class. You will find anything and everything - If you can’t find what you are looking for, the staff there are quick to fix something that suits you. I would like to give a special mention to Srimoyee and Mohit. Over the nine days we stayed they picked up what we liked and didn’t like as individuals and were able to cater to all of our needs. We had such a full breakfast that we didn’t have to worry about lunch and could quite safely wonder around Hydrabad feeling very full and refreshed. We often had family members come join us for breakfast another meals at the restaurant, and we really enjoyed the service and the quality of the meals. As for the room, We found it compact but it contained everything that we needed. The room was cleaned every single day and staff would ask us when would be a good time for them to come in and do it. The lady who would often clean our room was Pommy. She had an eye for detail, and was thoughful enough to supply our bathroom with feminine supplies which was so Incredibly appreciated. If ever we needed extra mugs or new bedsheets or room service the staff were very quick with helping us out with what we needed. In-room-dining did take about half an hour to arrive, But all other requests were attended to within the next five minutes. We are truly feel like staying at Vivanta made all the difference. We felt like this was too good to be true and were expecting some unexpected costs. We requested a bill 3 to 4 days before we checked out to see how much we had to pay and found the prices fair considering the high level of professionalism and quality. Laundry was the one thing that was rather expensive. The complimentary gym facility was very clean and the trainers were really helpful. The O2 spa was also a great addition to our stay Vivanta Although I would recommend booking a few days in advance as it is quite busy. On the last day we found the doormen very helpful, they even weighed our bags and put a little sticker on it telling us how much they weighed. Checking out process was quick and easy and took under 15 minutes. Overall we would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are ever in Hyderabad. We know we absolutely will...

I would not recommend this hotel for so many reasons. I am staying at this hotel for business purposes and I’m really just outraged at some of the things that have happened while staying here. Never in a million years would I call this a five star hotel. I’ll start with the good things.

Pros: good food and good restaurant service great mosquito and pest control

Okay. Now for everything else (Cons): I’ll start with the reason I’m writing this at 11pm at night before I leave at 2am...there is blaring club music with reverberating bass that is shaking my entire room on the fourth floor. When I called to ask them to please turn it down for those of us not participating in whatever is causing the ruckus, they said they couldn’t. They “checked” and called me back and said I could change rooms....at 11pm....before an early check-out....what other hotel ever does this instead of just turning down the music ??? Wifi went out for a considerable portion of the day. At a “five star” hotel in the “tech capital” of India. I will say after I called three times, they delivered me a hot spot until the wifi came back but it didn’t work very well. But at least the effort was there. When I checked in, they had my checkout date wrong (early by one day). I informed them at checkin a week ago and they said no problem and printed me a new page that I signed that said the correct checkout date. Then when I got to the day before the checkout date, they told me I didn’t have a room that night. After much hassle, they finally let me stay in the hotel but made me switch rooms to a tiny twin bed room for my last night. And even then, they were very rude about this. Again, not five star quality. They didn’t respect the do not disturb sign. My first day in, I was pretty jet lagged and wanted to sleep so I put my do not disturb sign on. I got more than 3 doorbell rings about service for my room.

The conference I attended was flawlessly organized at the hotel, and the experience was smooth and enjoyable. The food was exceptional, with every meal thoughtfully prepared to perfection. The restaurant staff was incredibly polite, ensuring each dining experience was memorable and enjoyable.

My weekend at Vivanta was fantastic. From a refreshing swim in the pool to the delicious food, every aspect of my stay was nothing short of perfect. I even purchased handmade chocolates, which added an extra sweet touch to my time there. The restaurant staff, like the rest of the team, was kind and attentive, making sure I felt completely cared for.

Having stayed at many hotels, my experience at Vivanta truly stands out as one of the best. The hospitality, cleanliness, and overall service were exceptional, and this is an experience I will never forget.
