Warning: Ramada (Raja Parak) and Code Black (Apax Mall) Scam
Warning: Dating App Scam at Ramada (Raja Parak) and Code Black Rooftop Cafe, Jaipur
Alert: Code Black Rooftop Cafe in Apex Mall, Tonk Road, Jaipur, has been linked to a dating app scam based on multiple Google Maps reviews (2024–2025). Visitors report being lured by women from dating apps, who order fake or overpriced drinks, leading to inflated bills (e.g., INR 20,000–28,000).
Details of the Scam
Women met via dating apps (e.g., Tinder) suggest meeting at Code Black. They order expensive "drinks" (often diluted or fake, like Coke) that make up 90% of the bill. Bills are inflated (e.g., INR 28,000 for two, with victims paying INR 20,000+). The woman leaves abruptly, reportedly taking a commission from the cafe. Management may pressure victims to pay or serve prohibited items like hookah.
Victim Experiences Recent reviews (2–7 months ago) include:
Maahi Jangid: Paid INR 28,000, mostly for fake drinks ordered by the girl. Anusuya Sharma: Compares it to Thailand’s gogo bar scams, warns against visiting. Kshitij Kant: Identified diluted drinks, called police, and refused to pay. Navin Nyalapelli: Paid INR 20,000 for fake shots.
How to Stay Safe To avoid this scam:
Research venues on Google Maps or Zomato for scam reports. Check drink contents and bills before paying; dispute discrepancies. Agree to split bills upfront via text. Call police (100 or 112) if pressured to pay inflated amounts. Meet in busy, reputable venues and share your location with a friend.

Read moreThis was my second stay at Ramada, and I bitterly regret giving them another chance. The first time I stayed here, I faced several issues, which I chose to overlook due to its proximity to my work location. But this time, the experience was beyond terrible — unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one using the Ramada name.
First of all, when I previously checked in early around 11 AM, I was allowed without any extra charges. This time, they straight-up demanded ₹2000 for early check-in, claiming “this is the rule.” Funny how rules magically change based on mood or staff. At the same time, I saw them charging another guest ₹1500 for late checkout — complete money-making tactics without any logic or fairness.
Room service? A total joke. I requested water, and they said, “La rahe hain.” One hour later — nothing. When I asked again, they casually told me to call 778 myself. Why not just tell me that the first time? Why waste my time pretending you’re bringing it?
And the biggest shock — they don’t even keep proper bottled water. No Bisleri, no Kinley — instead, they serve shady RO water in reused glass bottles. For a hotel that claims to be “5-star” and carries the Ramada branding, this is utterly disgraceful. Is this their idea of saving costs? It’s unhygienic and totally unprofessional.
I’ve stayed in multiple hotels in Jaipur — Marriott, The Lalit, Radisson Blu — and all of them are 10 times better in service, staff behavior, and basic hospitality. This hotel lacks even the most basic understanding of customer service.
To make things worse, I asked housekeeping to clean the room. The guy only cleaned the washroom, didn’t touch the rest of the room, and even took one of my towels and never replaced it!
Totally dissatisfied, extremely disappointed, and honestly disgusted. I strongly urge people — if you’re considering staying here, DON’T. For the same budget, you can get much better hospitality, professionalism, and peace of mind elsewhere.
This was my last stay at this pathetic excuse of a hotel. Shame on them for misusing the...
Read moreWorst Experience One Could Have: A Shame for the Ramada Brand
My recent stay at the Ramada Jaipur was, without a doubt, the worst I have ever had. We booked four rooms, all with a confirmed request for an extra bed in each. Upon arrival, we were immediately asked to deposit the full payment in advance, which was an unusual and off-putting start. The real issues began later that night. After a long day of exploring Jaipur, we returned to the hotel and called the front desk to request the extra beds we had already paid for. There was no response. It took multiple calls and over two hours before the bedding was finally provided to us. The problems didn't stop there. The air conditioning in our rooms was not working. A technician came and spent half an hour attempting to fix it, but to no avail. A second technician was called but was also unable to get the AC running. To make matters worse, the landline phone in our room was completely non-functional, forcing us to use a phone from another room just to contact the front desk. The next morning, we tried to call the front desk for bed tea, but again, no one bothered to pick up the phone. This level of neglect and poor service is unacceptable, especially for a brand like Ramada. This is a complete shame for the name and reputation they are supposed to uphold. This was a deeply frustrating experience. The lack of basic amenities and complete disregard for guest service made what should have been a relaxing stay an absolute nightmare. I will suggest everyone not to book a room at the...
