The Sapphire — Hotel in Jammu and Kashmir

We stayed at the property on 20th April 2024. We have book 2 suite rooms. However while checking in they gave us one suite room and accommodated us in an under construction service apartment and kept on telling that it was a suite room. The room was totally on the back side of the hotel and during rainy weather we were getting completely drenched to reach the restaurant to have our dinner and breakfast. While we told the same they very casually told that we will provide you with an umbrella. The bathroom is even worse than any cheap lodge and the shower area is just above the WC seat so whenever someone took bath the entire washroom was flooded with water. Hence humble opinion please do not book any suite room in this property. If you want to stay please book standard rooms so that you can stay in the property and not in the outhouse.. Else location wise the property is centrally located and offers easy communication. The flush in the washroom doesn’t work and it has to be kept on to keep the water flowing continuously. It creates a lot of sound which is unacceptable.. I am rating 1 just because there is no option to rate zero or negative. The staff continued to tell a lie that it was a suite however the room key clearly mentioned that it was an apartment. Hence please do not fall in the trap.. Also I am not getting any option to upload photo of this disappointing room..

I am also constantly getting calls from Mr.wani who is telling that they have not given me the suite room because of their internal mistake and forcing me to delete the review.. which is again a sign of utter unprofessional behaviour. He is clearly telling that it is a mistake from their end and asking me to forget everything and delete...

First and foremost 'hospitality " which is totally very unique in whole kashmir, especially at hotel the sapphire . which i likes utmost , every staff member is very hospitable and having always smile on face , which make my stay totally amazing.

Services,at any time I got finest service from every point of view , whether it is day or night ,service is available,the housekeeping,f &b , front desk is always ready to provide top notch service very fast.

Rooms are very nice ,well designed and well maintained ,the amenities in rooms are good ,rooms are facilitated with dressing area , safety lockers,luggage rack.the rooms are having a unique design with wooden floor,the colour combination is totally different , which makes your stay like royal stay.

One of the best thing of this hotel is food , which was very delicious and tasteful,I had here breakfast and dinner,simply i enjoyed the food ,the dining area is very good and hygiene is admirable.

Whether it is winter or summer doesn't mean. Hot and cold AC were installed in rooms which makes you very comfortable ,if it is chilly cold or hot.

Location is best point of this hotel, very near to market,lalchowk , river jehlum . airport, hospital is near to this hotel.peaceful area , where this hotel is located. . The lawn of this hotel is well decorated with natural plants and flowers , which gives you feel of heaven ,the greenish of plants absorbing,the plants support clean and fresh air.

Recommendation,i totally recommend this hotel ,must visit here and make kashmir trip memorable.

The Sapphire hotel does not live up to its ratings at all. Our experience was so disappointing that we ended up cutting our stay from two nights to just one due to various issues.

Firstly, they charged us even for basic amenities like water, which was surprising and unwelcoming. The reception staff were incredibly rude, demanding that we fill out numerous forms immediately upon arrival, despite us being exhausted from our journey. When we requested a little time to refresh ourselves before completing the paperwork, as we had done in other hotels in Kashmir, they simply didn’t care. It felt like they had no regard for their guests' comfort.

The location of the hotel is cramped, with the view from our room showing only a cluster of packed buildings. Moreover, the balcony was unfenced, and my child almost had a serious accident as she could easily open the window and step outside. Fortunately, I caught her in time to prevent a fall.

Their restaurant was, by far, the worst part. The food was tasteless and offered a very limited variety. The staff seemed unprofessional, talking on their mobile phones while serving, and they couldn’t even locate basic items like straws.

To top it off, when we decided to cut short our stay, the hotel staff had no clue why we were leaving and behaved as though they had done everything perfectly, making it seem like we were the problem. The checkout process was unnecessarily stressful as they made a huge fuss.
