Focus Club & Resort is situated on the outskirts of Ranchi, good 12 kms out of the city which makes travel to & fro from the city very difficult without your own commute
Located on the Highway with no clear demarcation, finding a way to the gate is a task in itself. Event at the gate, the doorman hesitantly opens the door and doesnt allow an easy access after knowing the guest is staying for couple of days - making you wait in the car at the elevated (slope) entrance. Parking space is fairly enough.
Accommodations: Booking a reservation via Booking.Com/Offline is possible, confirmation is shared quickly. However the real deal starts once you reach the property - rooms have no bearing on the pictures displayed (product wise & space) with no space for an additional extra bed/mattress.
They would lure you to upgrade to the next category at additional cost (almost of the same size, claiming to be a suite). Room doors have a huge gap allowing easy access to insects sneaking in alongside wind & dust all along.
The extra bed put across is a thin mattress with barely any bedding making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep.
Food & Beverages are extremely high priced and do not live up to the bare minimum taste/quality/quantity expectations. Basic item like an egg preparation is denied outright as part of complimentary offering which is very strange.
The manager at the property is extremely unprofessional, unreceptive and nonchalant at best.
While the review can tread on, wish to hit pause button - do search for better properties in & around Ranchi at better price points.

Read moreI have visited Focus restaurant on 29th Aug 21 along with my family members. Chicken banjara and ch. tandoori was good, but chicken chilli was worst. Main course was average. When bill came, they have charged for 10 tandoori roti against our order of 4 roti. After objection, they deducted rs.150 from the bill. I paid the bill amount . Today, I checked again the bill as I had some doubt in mind. Surprisingly I found that the total amount before tax is rs. 280 more than the actual total.Any body can check from the attached bill. I understand that the billing machine was tempered to produce wrong enhanced bill by the staff of the restaurant. I request the management to check this as it is destroying their credibility and the visiting customers/guest to take care of this and check the bill before you leave and if possible avoid to visit these type of fraud places. The actual bill before tax should be rs 3950 but it is showing rs 4230 because of...
Read moreLet's talk about the positives first before I list out why I am giving a one star.
Positives: You can go for a family outing out of the city The area inside Focus is quite big so you can dine in the open area
Now let's come down to the negatives: Food is bad. We ordered non vegetarian food and the chicken served to us was not freshly prepared. It was definitely frozen before mixing it with some gravy. Exorbitant prices. The prices are high and the quality is low so a very bad deal. We were told to order quickly so that other guests can get our places. So called customer service!! Customer service definitely needs improvement. Some of the items are not available from the menu at all.
Result: I am never visiting this place again by burning 100 rs a litre petrol and travelling so much to get a 'not for...
