I had an urgent business work in the area and made a reservation here looking at the 4 star reviews. It is beyond my comprehension as to how this is a 3 star hotel. I arrived late in the evening and the entire lobby smelled like food, the very unwelcoming front desk took about 25 minutes to check me in - at that point I already changed my 2 nights reservation to 1 night. I entered the room and it smelled like there were plumbing issues and this is me trying to put it as decently as I can. I ordered in room dining and a guy came knocking after 30 minutes to clear the plates! I told him that I never received my food and he said I would soon. I waited another 45 minutes and called back only to realize they never wrote down my order. I ended up eating another 40 minutes after that. The beds were the most uncomfortable and unsupported. The phone in my room rang about 5 times in the night in short bursts. There was no temperature setting on the AC and you would freeze to death after five minutes and the only option is to turn it off. There were so many things wrong with the room and I could make my peace with them but there was this one issue I could not get over and that is the thick black mold on the bathroom ceiling - so much that I could smell the mold in the entire room. This is a serious health concern and I cannot believe they are getting away with it. All in all - the worst hotel room I have...
Read moreOur experience at Ginger Jamshedpur was an inconvenient one. Despite pre-booking, the communication was lacking as the receptionist couldn't confirm our reservation details when we called ahead. The check-in process proved to be a frustrating ordeal, taking an unexpectedly long 30-40 minutes, even during non-rush hours.
The rooms, unfortunately, were disappointingly small. With space constraints, accommodating four people in a room just for evening relaxation was impractical. Furthermore, the inconvenience continued as there was a delay in having our luggage attended to and being shown to our rooms after check-in.
The culinary aspect didn't stand out either, with the food being described as merely "okay" and lacking uniqueness. This subpar experience in communication, check-in efficiency, room size, and dining options might make us think twice before considering Ginger Jamshedpur for future stays. Improved service and attention to customer needs would undoubtedly enhance the overall...
Read moreMy experience with ginger was very bad as initially they offered me a room which was so pathetic that I felt like I have checked in some local lodge with broken walls, broken chair, noisy window AC, wires are popping out from the tv, the room as well the entire hotel was so depressing that I started thinking i was my biggest mistake to trust hotels based on website photos and some fake reviews. Once I complained about the room they took so much time to shift me to other room that in that time I could have walked to some some nearby local hotel and checked into it. The second room was better looking as compared to the previous one but still it had a very bad smell, for two guests they just have one towel, bed was very uncomfortable I couldn’t sleep all night. They charged 72 rupees for just one cup of tea and the tea was served on a plastic cup ( seriously???). Overall my experience with ginger was so bad that I don’t have words to explain. Will never ever recommend ginger to anyone in my...
