Aloka Residency Homestay, Coorg — Hotel in Karnataka

A group of us visiting Somerwarpet for a wedding were desperately searching for a place that was reasonably priced but clean.after all how expensive could somwarpet be! Eventually we were recommended this home stay which was ideal for our needs.A large room with seven beds ! Clean sheets,white clean mattress( I checked)and spotless flooring.thebathroom fixtures that had been replaced were still lying rusted in there.but no complaints as we are not too choosey.as far as home stay goes,this was more a Hotel/guesthouse.no plantation or large well tended garden,just rooms in the middle of a quite street.food was sourced from outside which I felt was quite unpalatable.but again tastes differ and my friends had no trouble doing justice to it.it would have been good if they could have provided us with fresh tea/coffee,the lack of a proper kitchen meant even that had to be sourced from outside.if u are looking for clean rooms and no...

The stay itself was very comfortable. Very Clean and spacious rooms. We opted for a penthouse, a suite and a room since we have 3 other families accompanying us and penthouse was the place we all hung out. Suite is ok with a small walk-in closet and bathroom with shower. Room is as expected. Penthouse has a spacious space and 2 rooms with attached bathrooms fitted with bathtub and shower. Breakfast was complimentary. If you are thinking of ordering food from their restaurant, I would suggest otherwise. It was mediocre and you have better options if you are willing to drive 2-3 kms.

One of the beat homestay in terms of nature , view , hospitality , food ,spacious room, huge balcony , and the best host Aloka aunty and her Son . The room has all the facility one would need in their stay with clean large bathroom along with spacious cupboard and comfortable sofa and personal balcony with the amazing view of nature . The behaviour is just so welcoming and easy to have a conversation . They had arranged a cab for the sightseeing , per day 2500rs . We have complementary breakfast with tasty coconut chutney and coffee. Pork is also available . In short the best peaceful stay...
