Blackpepperz Gardenia — Hotel in Karnataka

We visited the home-stay during the Christmas phase in 2019. We got the booking of the home-stay recommended through travelmalnad and must say it was a good choice. The home-stay is located in Mudigere and is conveniently reachable with the help of GPS. The rooms are neat and clean and can decently accommodate a group of families. We were a family of four and were given two rooms and we divided the group into male and female community, each occupying one. The best part of this place is the attention to hospitality. The food is prepared right by the owner's home (not a hired cook) and the flavor of the local cuisine will do wonders to the taste buds and for a moment as you relish, one may even think whether our Mom forced her entry into the owner's kitchen to take control. We all were deeply satisfied by the dishes served for breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea. The rooms overlook a spacious free land enabling toddlers too gain independence from the clutches of their parents. No worries of car parking as there is hell lot of place for the tyres to stretch. Hot water is 24/7 as they run on solar. You may need to be cautious of the trained dogs around and they will mean no harm unless your acts give them suspicion. I maintained my decent self when they were around :-). The homestay has a big coffee plantation with a small pond, giving your group some decent time to stretch your muscles, bones, lungs, eyes and finally heart to absorb the pure greenery of the nature. The places of interest to visit from the homestay are Devaramanne, Gatikallu, ballalarayanadurga fort etc. The owner Mr. Ramesh's family is courteous, down to earth and that goes right down to the younger generation too. Our family carried back wonderful memories as we left the soil...

The home stay is easy to locate and is a nice getaway place for the weekend. The hosts, Mr and Mrs. Ramesh are wonderful people and made the stay wonderful. They have 5 dogs that are really friendly. Dog lovers will have a blast!||||There are 3 rooms, each to accommodate different group sizes and are clean and neat. Adjacent to the rooms is the cafeteria where food can be had on the ground floor or the 1st floor.There is ample car parking space too.||||Behind the homestay is the coffee estate where you can go for a walk if you feel like it. Less than 10min from their homestay runs the Hemavati river, you can get your feet wet in it. Devaramane viewpoint is less than 15km from here and is nature at its best.||||Airtel data works fine but Jio data connectivity is flaky as well as Vodafone. I was told BSNL works fine in that area too. Would definitely recommend the place for those looking for a homestay...
