We booked this Place for 3 nights. The day we were to check in we got a call from the manager Mr Bunty to ask about our ETA and if we needed help with directions. It was so nice of him to do so. We have stayed at so many different properties but never did anyone enquire if we needed directions to get to the resort. We followed the map and reached the Resort without any issues. The moment we stepped out of the car we fell in Love with the place. The view was mesmerizing. And the infinity pool was very inviting. The check-in process was smooth. We were offered a welcome drink which was very refreshing.
We had booked a mountain facing room. The room was big enough with a double bed, small table and 2 chairs, side tables, TV, fan, side lamps and reading lamps, a single door wardrobe with a locker and suitcase rack. It had an ensuite bathroom with 24 hrs hot water and toiletries. Each room had it's own table and chairs to sit outside and enjoy the view while sipping on some garam chai or coffee and enjoying the song of birds specially the peacocks.
The staff is very pleasant and Mr Bunty sees to it that all his guests are comfortable. He is very nice to talk to and a cheerful person.
They have a restaurant indoors and outdoors but we preferred sitting outside as the view was awesome and the place is so peaceful. The food too is very tasty and quantity is good and price is reasonable. Breakfast is very filling and very generous quantity that we couldn't finish everything. Each day the breakfast was different.
They also have a bonfire on request. And indoor games like carrom, snakes n ladders, ludo, crosswords and outdoor games like badminton and football. The property can be enjoyed by all age groups.
Since the property is to the end it's very peaceful. You can't even hear the sound of traffic. You can take a tour by your self of the property. They have 3 cute looking Alsatians who are very alert.
One can just relax in The infinity pool and watch the mountains and clouds passing by and the peacocks dancing with their feathers open.
Overall it is an amazing property well kept with friendly staff, amazing food awesome view and cozy rooms.
A Big THANK YOU to Bunty for making our stay memorable. We hope to...
Read moreIt was overall, a good stay at the resort. My highlights of the stay are the following: Location - beautiful with a pool in the front and the view of the hills. Staff were very polite and the way they treated all guests were amazing! Food was good, the only things I felt different with the food was that even though the taste was overall good, even though not excellent, some dishes weren't that good in dinner. The breakfast was not a buffet and the options were only dosa (with sambar and chutney) and vermicelli upma. The staff got us food as much as needed, though. The upma didn't taste that good, but dosa was really well made. Now, the downsides - I had informed the supposed owner 2 days in prior that we would be arriving at Chikmagalur at 4 am and had requested for an early check-in since we would have to stay out till 2 pm. She said that it has been noted and they would try to arrange for it. On reaching the place at 2, thinking that we don't want to keep waiting after reaching early, got to know that the manager wasn't even informed about our early check-in request, but we got our rooms ready by 2:20 pm only! That was quite disappointing that the owner took no responsibility to get our rooms ready by 2 even after prior request. Secondly, there were frequent power outages at the place, during our stay, the power went off 4-5 times. On enquiring with the manager, he told us that since the previous day, there was no power and they were running on an old diesel generator that needed intermittent time off. Third, the walls of the rooms are built with hollow bricks and during an outage at night, the baby from the adjacent room started crying and it was like the baby was crying from our room. People talking loudly could be easily heard in the adjacent room at night. We had a good time during our stay, but some things could have been improved for a more...
Read moreWe visited Coffeeberry Hills Resort for a vacation on my birthday! The place has really beautiful scenic views. You will be totally in the lap of nature. It is about 6 kms from the Chikmagalur bus stand and we took an auto to reach here from there, we paid the auto guy about rs. 300/-. Once we reached, we were allotted a room facing the forest side. The other side is mountain side. I really enjoyed the forest view because I literally woke up with the sound of peacock for the 2 days that I spent there. I even spotted the peacock right in front of our room , towards the forest. The location is extremely scenic, completely private with a good network. The people in the resort was very kind and sweet! They served us well and made us totally comfortable. We are pure vegetarians and we were quite concerned about veg food. But we were served Jain food on request everyday and the food was really very delicious! I appreciate Mr. Shashi who served us with a big smile everyday. The breakfast food options aren't many , but they are like home made . Breakfast is complimentary with veg food options like upma, poha, idly , dosa and poori bhaji etc. This place is located little inside from the main road, the road is not great but cars can easily enter, it is more of mud and stones as it is inside a coffee estate. We went for very peaceful walks every morning around the resort. It was so relaxing! This resort has only 6 rooms , so they give you very special treatment. One thing is that the wall is little thin , you may hear tv sounds from your neighbouring room sometimes, but we didn't feel much about it . I had a really good trip . My review is long, but trust me these factors helped me decide whether to come here or not! I definitely recommend this place if you wish to visit...
