A Tranquil Escape with the Warmest Hospitality

We recently stayed at Dada Mansion lovely homestay in Coorg, and it was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile and genuine hospitality by the host Cariappa who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Whether it was sharing local tips, arranging dinner or simply checking in to ensure our comfort, his kindness really stood out inspite of a last minute booking which was just before few hours, and he drove us to a private waterfalls in his jeep which was a km away which was a show stealer..

Mornings at the homestay were slow and serene—just the way anyone would love. You would wake up to the sound of birds and a gentle breeze rustling through the coffee plantations. With a cup of freshly brewed Coorg coffee in hand, and sit on the verandah watching the mist slowly lift from the hills. There was no rush, no noise—just peace and rain was a unpaid actor to add more beauty to the place

I recently stayed at Dada Mansion and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The rooms were not as described on the website, and the bedsheets were not changed. Only two rooms have attached bathrooms, while the rest use a common bathroom—this crucial detail was not mentioned during the inquiry or booking. There was no proper staff to attend to visitors, and the employees seemed untrained in hospitality. Surprisingly, the workers from the owner's coffee estate were managing the homestay, which led to poor service.

Meals were not served on time, and tea/coffee, which was promised, was not provided. Basic amenities like towels, refrigerators, Wi-Fi, and a TV were missing. The rooms were not cleaned at all during our three-day stay. Additionally, service was unavailable after 7 PM, and they even refused to provide milk for children. The location of the property and surroundings are excellent. The host is the polar opposite. He makes up his own rules and even if you book the property he will pressure you to add more people in the rooms as per his convenience. Even though the price was listed at around 10k per night in AirBnB the host expects 30k per night. On reaching the property we had to request for each and every small item like tissue paper, toilet roll, towels, mosquito repellent. Also one request is not enough you have to keep begging him for these basic amenities. Even though the property lists kitchen and all utensils for cooking nothing was provided. On checkout he proceeded to go on a monologue rant without having the decency to respect elders and proceeded to shout at my father & call me a cheat for booking his property without his approval.
