Eka Resort — Hotel in Karnataka

Hi, We saw the resort through booking.com. Since availability was not there we booked directly by calling resort.

Pros : Location, Pool, outside property (estate area), bonfire,some of the staff members very humble and helpful.

Cons : Unhygienic - Lot of hairs were there on the bed, pillows everywhere when we checked in. Then we requested them to put fresh ones. Even if you stay 2 days they wont do cleaning until you ask for it. Toiletries are like some odd brand which we never aware and also only shampoo and soap was available. So, please carry yourself all the required ones. Shower was not proper, hot water coming in very less temperature. Food - Local food, tasty but very limited option. Don't expect continental and all. We expected bit more for the price what we paid.

They don't have any safety lockers at all.

Above all these, staffs were local people. Not professional ones. That was okay for us until we became the victim. After reaching Bangalore we realized there was a theft happened. We lost money our items didn't realize at all.

Incident brief : First day reached the resort, but every where dirty in the room so asked one person to clean it and we went out just to explore resort. We gave keys to him. apart from this time rest all the time I carried my wallet with me. Close to 3K was stolen from my purse and some perfume bottles, lotions and all. After coming to Bangalore I checked my wallet how much money I have then I realized 3 K was missing. I called resort people and informed the same and also told to whom exactly we gave keys. The person just said we will enquire and call us. Till now no calls from them.

If you ask me, there are lot more home stays in the same region with lesser price and higher caring.

I don't recommend this to any one. Any photos you see in booking, yatra, makemytrip etc. are different when you go there in reality.

Location is...

The property was poorly maintained, the food was subpar, senior staff lacked sincerity. We had a group of 10 families stay for 2 days in 9 deluxe rooms and 1 tent, however not all of them received a welcome drink. When the room was first opened, there was a fake smell, and the bed, bedspread, and bath towels weren't clean enough, noticeable black stain with a yellowish. Didn't have a mini-fridge, and no housekeeping done after the first day of the stay. Low-quality cuisine, fewer variety, mostly rice dishes, even for breakfast, did not include Idly or Dosa, Puri or Chappathi or Roti. Couple of these items served on the next day after being escalated. No soft drinks, fruit juices, or cold desserts are offered. They however permit us to bring it from outside; we travelled 30 kms to fetch it from Sakleshpur city. The supply of basic dietary components like lemon was running out of stock. Most of the equipment in the indoor and outdoor areas was broken, and the sound system was average. The pool wasn't cleaned on a regular basis. Due to family and health reasons, a few members of our family had to leave a day early, but even in the off-peak season when there were vacant rooms, there was no consideration for an early checkout. The staff was having loud music on their own. As anticipated, the checkout process wasn’t fruitful, experienced the unprofessional behavior from the staff during settlement, later acknowledged their areas of improvements after we showed them the photos and offered us a marginal...

This was my 7th visit to this resort. The very fact I'm returning to this place is a testimony about this resort. This resort is simple place with no unwanted show or unnecessary so called value adding gimmicks unlike the so called 5 star resorts which most of the times we don't use at all.

Eka resort has all the basics facilities well laid out and user friendly. All rooms are comfortable and spacious. The environment is so green, that you'll love to spend most of your time outside your room. Fairly well maintained pool worth getting in to it. Very suitable for families, medium sized groups and solo travellers too.

Food is also simple but tasty. Staff are definitely helpful and courteous. Manage suresh was very cooperative and helpful. The are beautiful places of interest to visit around this resort.. To name a few - sipoy betta, patle betta, bisle ghat, edukameri railway line trek etc...

There is a karoake arrangement of you're interested in singing... They also organise events like marriage and engagement parties in the resort. Another highlight is they have AC tents which can accommodate 4or 6 ppl and its fun to stay in there. Overall its going to be an amazing experience staying here. I have been frequenting this place for last few years... I will come...
