This place is a gem of a find.. Nestled in a pretty Quiet spot, the sunset view just outside the gate is insane. The farm is quite huge with birds of all kind, lots of friendly dogs and a horse is coming soon. Vikram the host and his wife are amazing people and so are their 2 lovely ever so confident kids who make the place so alive. They do this out of passion for meeting new people and don't look at it as a mere business. We stayed there for our wedding Anniversary. Vikram made a delicious cake for us by himself and setup a candle light dinner and a Barbeque to make our Anniversary celebrations special..The following day, he got Rani, a Gorgeous horse to visit the property and we clicked some amazing pictures and had fun riding on her. Rani was such a darling calm horse and a rider's delight. In the night, we were treated to a bonfire and we had fun conversations by the fire with light music playing. The following day there was a yoga session he arranged. He did not charge a Penny extra and said these are all complementary and he likes to see his guests happy. He was so friendly, I felt like I'd known him for years and just chilling at a buddy's place. The food was all included in the price as well and food was served like a Daawat in unlimited servings and it was pretty delicious home food. The caretakers/cooks Rahul and Ram were also super friendly and happy people who were excited to serve the guests and made us feel very welcomed. The place also has a Table for TT, a Trampoline, Swings etc but we never got to the point where we even had to use them. This turned out to be quite the experience and definitely more than what I would have ever expected. We will definitely be regulars here, this is too good to just do once.

Went in a group of 5 + 2 dogs. The property is quite large and perfect for pet lovers who'd like to leave their pets free and enjoy the space. The rooms are spacious and the common space in the big bungalow is massive and can really be used as a big party place! The hosts John and Vikram are very welcoming and are always available to help. Connectivity is a bit poor in terms of 4g, but well you're on a break, so enjoy and go for a walk. Vikram also took us to a nearby treehouse in an adjacent property which was a beautiful mini trip. Food prepared is good home-cooked food with a variety of veg and non veg options available. Good to communicate if you have any preferences as they really go out of your way to get it made for you. Was nice to have a bonfire along with some drinks. Very DIY though. If you have pets, you will love this place. It's a super easy getaway from Bangalore! Thing to note though is..you're adjacent to a national park/jungle. So you're bound to have insects/frogs and the odd snake, so good to wear shoes while on a walk. A favourite place for monkeys to mover around in the trees, so do lock your doors/windows when you leave the room. All in all would definitely come back here again!

I stayed in a wonderful cottage that felt like home. Vikam the caretaker, kept checking up on me because my family, who I'm joining soon, had already travelled to another city earlier. So I was by myself and loved it! Great break from my routine life and city lights. There is a horse in the estate that you can ride around (guided) for INR 750. Price is little higher that normal horse riding rates because the horse is elite, a Marwari Stallion. The estate is about 4 acres but feels like 40 acres because it's so dense and green. There was a swing that I saw, tall trees, chicken co-cockoo-ro-koos in the morning. I also saw some moneys in the morning. They didn't bother me but I took precautions. The cook made great home food. Pork and chicken are also offered. And the papad was soooo crispy. I enjoyed my curd and baajis. Wine is also available but needs to be purchased from close by. Phone reception for Airtel is present but not great. There is strong WiFi at the cottages. Some glitches at times near the dinning area because there is a monopoly in internet service providers in the region. Thank you Elephant Country Homestay!

This is the worst experience I have ever had in a Homestay. I had booked a two room cottage almost a month in advance, for a birthday trip+celebration, however, we were in for a very disappointing turn of events after reaching the place. Vikram informed that they had overbooked the place "by mistake" and now our reserved cottage was occupied by another family who were unwilling to shift/vacate. He gave us options to stay in a dusty, dirty room which was full of cobwebs and rats, or we can stay at his friend's homestay which was quite below average. Unfortunately, we had planned for a 2 nights stay with nowhere else to go (since it was peak Christmas season). We decided to stay somehow for a night and leave the next day. Though Vikram apologized and was courteous, and offered to pay back our advance.. but the fact he thought he could get away with overbooking a place where customer already paid an advance and had made plans for, is unacceptable. On top of that, he never even bothered to inform about the overbooking until the time we had reached the place and enquired about our check in to our cottage. This shows irresponsibility and dishonesty. Anyway, the property is nice, food and staff is homely and I am guessing the actual cottage rooms are nice too (which I never got to experience post booking). I am definitely never going back, and please book the place at your own risk in case you want to avoid...

To start off, the homestay experience was well organised by Vikram, the owner who was kind enough to sort out stay within a days notice. Getting to the location was a breeze as well. We were welcomed by Ramu the caretaker who gave us a quick tour of the property and introduced us to the most loving animals around. Swans, Geese, ducks, turkeys and not to forget the most adorable canines. The villa was spectacular and gave this feel of a classic jungle lodge with the cosiest of rooms to offer. Not to mention the seating area upstairs which gives you a 360 view of the neighbouring Banerraghata wildlife reserve. As soon as we settled in, we were greeted with coffee and later on with some insanely delicious food compromising of various non veg and vegetarian curries. The experience was serene the next morning as we were greeted by a group of curious primates of the like. Lunch was brilliant as Ramu prepared some really good biryani on short request. I wish I could write more but it's best experienced in person as this homestay does not disappoint. Big thanks to Vikram and his beautiful family for looking after us and not to mention Ramu who managed to cook up a storm. Beautiful experience. Best for those who want some time off your busy urban lifestyle. And more over a great place to work from as well. All in all, an absolute winner and incredible value for money. Thank you...
