Ezzenza Royal Garden Brindavan Resort — Hotel in Karnataka

Locations: The property location is the top class. There is other hotel too but Royal Orchid hotel is placed strategically where you get the view of the entire garden all the way to the fountain at the other end.||Rooms: The rooms were good. We got the room on the 2nd floor. The balcony was huge. The rooms were apt in size and bathroom was clean and roomy.|Restaurants / Bar: The Elephant Bar has a view of the entire garden. In the night, its beautiful with the garden lights on. The bar is well stocked with all drinks. Only starters is served at the bar. The main course is served at the restaurant. The restaurant was good and the food was tasty.||Amenities: Valet parking was a bliss. The swimming pool is decent sized. Didn't use the Spa and hence can't comment on it. The front desk took care of our luggage as we had arrived early. We could keep our luggage with them and go on with sight seeing. They welcome you with a welcome drink and a wet hand towel (refreshing towel).||Do note: There is no lift and the climb to the top floor can get tiring. On request the hotel does provide rooms at the ground floor.||What they could improve:|Swimming Pool: The pool could have been cleaner. Though the pool care taker was around all the time, he wasn't removing the leaves and the insects from the pool. Had to swim with a few dead insects around you. Well, it wasn't that bad and we did enjoy the pool.||Front Desk: Not sure if the folks in the front desk were trainees. They seemed to be confused on prioritizing things. At check-in, made us wait but then forget that they asked us to wait. They carried on with their other work. Had to remind them that we were waiting for check-in. At check-out as well, they seem to be fumbling though we let them know were checking out. Again, no red flags as such. It was a minor thing and didn't really change...

This property is not a resort. Nowhere near to it. It should be considered only as lodging. I had planned my trip last minute hence this was the only place available. Now I know why.||The good part first. The rooms are large and spacious. Easily accommodates 2 Adults and 2 kids. The toilets are again large and clean. Ample parking space. Brindavan garden is at walk-able distance.||Now the downside. No hospitality at all! Service is bad. It is not run by professionals. That was very clear. The phone in the room to call room service was not working in both rooms that we booked. AC was not effective in one of the rooms. We had asked for an extra bed. It was unhygienic, very dirty and grouse. We immediately asked them to take it away. ||Restaurant food is horrible. When we requested for tea in evening they said they had no milk. Menu options are very limited. Taste and quality was horrible to say the least. There are other restaurants nearby that you should go to instead of eating here. ||Amenities wise free WI-FI is available. A good size pool is there but the water was not inviting. Was very green hence did not venture into the pool. The trampoline was torn in the middle hence could not be used. That’s it.||Bottom line is that book a stay at this place with minimum or no expectations. Use it only to crash for the night. Go in the morning for site seeing and return in the night after dinner to sleep. But do remember this place is a good distance away from Mysore. Took a suite room which was ok for a family of 4. We stayed just over night and used the place mostly for sleeping only. Room was good though AC could have been better. The bathroom buckets and mugs were slimy and should have been clean. The place was quite thinly staffed. Wasn't sure about the restaurant facilities and had dinner / food at Brindivan gardens only. There are many fast food stalls here in Brindivan gardens. Being in the midst of nature, we saw some ants, lizards etc in the resort. Need to be mentality prepared for this. ||Understand this business is owned and run by one Mr. Nasru Shaikh though we originally got confused between this property and the one being run by Royal Orchid in/ near KRS dam.||This place is a 10 min walk to Krs and it's better to walk down than driving 800 mtr.
