My recent stay at Honeydews Exotica Resort in Chikmagalur was an extraordinary experience that surpassed all my expectations. The resort's serene ambiance, breathtaking views, and impeccable service left me with lasting memories of a truly unforgettable vacation.
The first thing that struck me upon arrival was the resort's beautiful and well-maintained surroundings. Nestled amidst lush greenery and coffee plantations, it offered a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The staff greeted us warmly, and we were promptly checked-in by Mr. Bharath at the front office. His hospitality and efficiency made the check-in process smooth and hassle-free, setting the tone for the rest of our stay.
The accommodation at Honeydews Exotica Resort was exceptional. Our room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, featuring all modern amenities. The comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep, and the private balcony provided a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills, which made waking up each morning a delight.
We had a great nature walk/plantation walk early morning. It was nice to actually get to know different species of plants and birds within the estate. Also don't recall the name of the person who assisted us with the adventure activities. A special shout-out to him. It was fun using the zip line and various obstacle courses amidst the trees, where adequate safety was also taken care.
The dining experience at the resort was equally praiseworthy, thanks to the exceptional services provided by Mr. Bheemaiah, the F&B manager. He took personal care of each guest, ensuring that all our dietary preferences were catered to. The on-site restaurant offered a delectable range of local and international cuisines, and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal we had.
The resort has a very good kids play area with lots of amenities for the kids to play and enjoy their time. Also they have both indoor and outdoor games which I am sure the kids and the elders will love as well. Also they have two bonfire areas which makes it a memorable time especially during the late evening hours.
Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of Honeydews Exotica Resort. The combination of its natural beauty, luxurious accommodations, and exceptional service made it a truly memorable experience. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Bharath for his warm welcome and efficient handling of our check-in, and to Mr. Bheemaiah for taking such good care of us during our dining experiences. Their commitment to guest satisfaction truly made a difference in our stay.
I wholeheartedly recommend Honeydews Exotica Resort to anyone looking for a tranquil and luxurious getaway in the lap of nature. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple seeking a romantic retreat, or a family looking for some quality time together, this resort has everything you need for an enchanting vacation. I can't wait to return to this paradise in...
Read moreThew Disappointing Experience at Honeydewwz Resort
I recently stayed at Honeydewwz Resort and, unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant due to unreasonable pricing and poor food quality.
Overpriced Water Bottles: I was shocked to find that a basic water bottle, which has an MRP of ₹20 (Kinley), was being sold at ₹25 when bought at the resort and ₹30 when delivered to the room. It's unacceptable to charge more than the MRP, especially for such basic necessities.
Expensive and Tasteless Food: I was charged ₹300 + GST for just 3 boiled eggs, which is outrageous. Not only were the prices unreasonable, but the quality was also poor. The food lacked flavor—no salt, no spices, and overall, it was quite bland.
Given the steep prices and subpar quality of food, I found the experience disappointing. I would expect better from a resort of this reputation.
The resort claims to be a 4-star property, but the quality of the food did not reflect that standard at all.
Lunch and Dinner Disappointment: The meals were a major letdown. They served plain white rice directly from an electric cooker, which is something I wouldn't expect from a 4-star resort. For a property of this caliber, I expected a more professional presentation. As for the curries, they only provided two options, both of which were tasteless, with no spice or even basic seasoning like salt.
Unjustified High Prices: Despite charging premium prices, the food quality was far below expectations. A resort charging such high rates should ensure that the food meets the standards they claim to offer. Sadly, this was not the case.
Overall, the food was a huge disappointment, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting a quality...
Read morePros Lovely property Clean room Good Service Nice Activities Well behaved Staff / Service Team - Especially want to mention about two people. Mr. Apekesh from outdoor activities team and Mr. Hiruday from Restaurant Service Team.
Mr. Apekesh was in-charge of zipline / rope activities, where he kept encouraging my kids (and myself) to complete the hurdles. He guided us to the nature walk, during which he explained very well about wildlife, tree varieties, leeches and many more topics. He has deep knowledge on topics he spoke, patience enough to explain the questions asked by all members.
Mr. Hiruday from Restaurant Service Team, was so kind and caring. He makes sure to check with all customers / families about their food needs and put extra efforts, if needed, to make them happy.
Cons Property Location - It is good, but all sightseeing locations are bit far from here. Need to drive 40kms on one side to reach Hebbe waterfalls and surroundings, and 30kms on another side to reach Jhari waterfalls, Mullayanagiri surroundings. So, it would be ideal if you just want to relax inside the resort, rather than visiting other places. Swimming pool - was darn cold that we got out of it within few minutes of getting in. We stayed there during the month of May. So, can't imagine how the pool will be during winter season. Weak WiFi and TV connection was not working (showed not recharged), but this was not an issue for us, as we decided not to use mobile and TV (or any gadgets)...
