HOTEL BADAMI COURT(unit of Shreejit Resorts Pvt Ltd) — Hotel in Karnataka

After much online research, we settled on Badami Court for our stay in Badami and we were not disappointed.

Booking: We booked directly by calling the hotel as this was the cheapest option. The manager, Mr Sridhar was very polite and explained the room categories and options available.

Reaching Badami Court: The hotel is less than 10 min drive to Badami Caves. It is located on the main road right opposite an HP Petrol pump. There is ample parking available in the premises. We were greeted by Mr. Rehmat who helped us with our bags.

Reception/Check-in: The check-in was done by Mr Mohammad at the front desk who also explained to us all the places nearby and the right times to visit. If you are not driving, you can ask the reception to call for a rickshaw/tuk-tuk.

Housekeeping/Room Service: Mr Santosh from HK/RS was always at our service whenever we needed anything. Most times, the service was quick and efficient.

Room: Being a weekday, many rooms were empty. We checked a few rooms before settling on room 211. The room had a Jacuzzi in it but we were informed that it was not functional. There was some leakage in the bathroom which was fixed quickly by Mr Santosh. We thank Mr Sridhar and Mr Mohammad for this room.

Restaurant: The restaurant staff was very cordial and the service was efficient. We have no complaints about the quality of the food. TIP: The Idlis and Wadas are freshest very early in the morning. If you reach after 9:00 am, you may not enjoy them as much as you would at 7:00 am. Check the minor issues mentioned below.

Checkout: Checkout was quick and uneventful except for point 2. mentioned below.

Some minor issues which can be easily fixed: The Jacuzzi had two floor mats. For some reason, the HK staff kept the floor mats upside down i.e. the suction cups were pointing up and hence collected water. After my shower, I turned them and placed them in the correct position. The next day, when we returned to the room, the mats were again in the wrong position. HK needs to be informed and trained in this.

We were orally told that the complimentary breakfast Menu included Idli, Dosa, Wada etc. When we asked about eggs, we were told that eggs were also available. Along with the idli, dosa etc, we ordered omelettes and fried eggs. During checkout, we noticed that we were billed Rs.100 per plate for the eggs. On inquiring, they said that eggs were not included in the complimentary breakfast. But we were not informed of the same when we ordered assuming they are complimentary. So I suggest the restaurant staff be upfront about this as it leads to a sour taste at the end of a lovely stay.

The sequence in which your food arrives can be tweaked and improved. We had ordered chicken and naan. We were served naan and had to wait some time for the chicken dish to arrive. Similarly, when our omelettes were served, we were told that the toast was still being prepared. The toast basket arrived after a while with 6 toasts. The staff could have served us 2 hot toasts immediately with the omelettes and served us the rest eventually. This happened when only 2 tables were occupied with a total of 4 people and 1 child. I'm not sure how things work on a busy day.

We had a lovely stay at Badami Court. All staff members were very cordial and helpful at all times. A special thanks to all the members mentioned by name above. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone...

To anyone who is gonna visit these hotel,plis never ever visit ,that's my best advice..I'm a former staff working as a waiter for more than 3 months,from what i learned n experienced i could say this hotel is not even worth giving a one star.. The foods are not hygienic,foreigners will be warmly welcome than the locals,the staff are ignorant and stubborn including the General manager,who is a six foot tall with a pea size brain,no manners,with bad attitude and have zero respect for the non local staff..Out of anger for not getting salary for nearly two months,i left this hotel for good,we the non local staff,faced so much hardships from all these bunch of idiots, we were so much pressurised to do all the work,while they were mostly enjoying their time..They dont even bothered to give our salary,they just made us work like their own slaves yet they still scolded us like we were beggars,when asked about our salary,this must be the worst humiliation n tortured one could ever endured..Still wondering why that General manager could have that position😆,for real..If he was in my city,he wouldn't even be fit for a toilet cleaner,i would always and forever regard him as the dumbest n foolest General manager alive,i'm speaking about the bitter truth,i hope u dont get it personal Mr GM,nope Mr mannerless that's right,i'm using this platform to express my feelings since we were mouth tapped by you back in the days...I hope these hotel under your supervision gets doom...

We were here for 2 nights in November 2022 1st week with family for our Badami/Aihole/Pattadakal tour and sorry for the delayed review. This is an ideal place to stay with family again because of the easy location/access to Badami caves, Shri Shakambhari Banashankari Shakti Peetha Temple as well as Aihole/Pattadakal. Parking is available and enough with security.

There was a huge downpour after we checked in and there was water everywhere in the corridors; too slippery it was; the staff cleaned up the water and a temp setup moved the water into the lawn area. Too many times power outage but the generator was helpful!

The room was small; the staff were again slow in response; cleaning services were OK.

The restaurant's breakfast can be avoided if you have other options or just eat the hot vadas & bread/butter/jam; egg dishes were payable not sure why! The dinner was great; we ordered to the room and the chicken was out of the world; I asked in the kitchen and they confirmed the same chef made breakfast and dinner but I doubt!

The swimming pool is closed!!

Overall I would recommend this place and hopefully the staff will improve the skills and wishing them good luck!
