Hotel Malnad Gateway — Hotel in Karnataka

Yesterday, we visited Malnad Gateway, which houses two sections: the Coastal Express Family Resto Bar and the Maya Bar and Lounge. We chose to dine at Coastal Express to enjoy their seafood, and I must say it exceeded our expectations. As someone from Mangalore, I’ve struggled to find the kind of freshness and authentic taste of seafood that I grew up with, especially in Shimoga. However, Coastal Express is an exception. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the flavors were spot on. What impressed me the most was how kid-friendly the taste was—my three-year-old son loved the fish so much that I’ve already told my family we must visit this restaurant again.

We ordered the Prawn Ghee Roast, Bangda Curry, Pomfret Tawa Fry, and Anjal Tawa Fry. The taste was so good that I still feel like visiting again just to have the food.

The service was impressively quick—we hardly waited 15 to 20 minutes for our food. The staff were also very friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance was great, and the cleanliness stood out—the restaurant, including the restrooms and tables, was spotless, with no stale smells at all. Everything felt fresh, and there was ample parking...

Malnad gateway is an absolute gem, with its awesome ambiance and inviting vibe setting the stage for a great and new kind of dining experience and stay in Shivamogga. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by an atmosphere of warmth that immediately puts you at ease. The atmosphere of the place is very welcoming. My friends and I had the pleasure to dine at the rooftop restaurant Maaya. The menu is amazing and has a wide variety of options with each dish expertly crafted which will blow your mind. They have a lovely cocktail menu as well. The attentive staff provides top-notch service and are very friendly. Overall Malnad gateway would be a perfect choice for a really pleasant stay with comfortable rooms and delightful restaurants which have fantastic food and charming ambiance....

We stayed for 2 days in their lodge. It's worth every penny on the stay. Clean rooms, new property, well trained and responsive staff, and beautiful hosts. The owners Karthik and Poojya were very sweet. They ensured our stay and experience was fantastic. Kudos to them for setting up a place like that.

PS: There's a pupper outside the property and make sure you have a couple of biscuits handy to feed her.
