Iam a regular visitor to this place. Took my family this time. Upon reaching we got to know that the Mekadatu bus service is not available due to some tender issue. Also the coracle ride was not available. We enjoyed some time in the water and loved the surroundings. Its a very rustic place and people who love nature and the basic beauty of hills, rocks, water and the silence will love it. Rooms are decent and value for the money. Food is ok. The staff are extremely friendly and service is good. Power back up is available in the night. Wifi available near room. No other mobile signal except for bsnl in some places. No mobile signal and thats the beauty of the place. Recently 5 students had drowned so lots of forest staff were around to oversee people getting into the water. Some parts of the river are extremely dangerous as there are whirlpools under and unequal height of the bottom. Current is very strong in some place where Cauvery water is released. So only play in spots near to the shore or as directed by the forest staff. You cant see crocodiles in the day time here because of human movement but in the night you can see them in the water. So dont ever go into the water in the night. The place is like the end of the world cause you cant go any further. The road ends here. Bheemeshwari and Galibore run by Jungle lodges are near by. Lovely fish fry in the stalls. Lots of birds to sight so carry a binocular. Paradise of monkeys so dont keep any eatable in your hand or open vehicle. Overall a beautiful place with nature and only raw, rustic,...

Location is just awesome, you are in the middle of the forest.

Service I would say kind of Ok.

Rooms Are avg. People looking for luxury don't stay here. People who just want to enjoy the nature in deep forest and don't bother about luxury at stay they can go for it.

Overall mayura sangama hotel needs renovation. Lack of maintenance.

Mayura hotel food pricing are high with 1 plate idly vada costs Rs 70 and rice bath costs Rs 140 Coffe/Tea costs Rs 30 Taste wise we can say ok not bad.

Important point to be noted .... None of the mobile network will work here apart from BSNL.

The hotel has free wifi facility, room boy will help you getting connected to it. But the wifi will work outside the room. Inside the room if u r lucky enough and if ur room is closer to wifi device which they have placed on verenda it may get connected else you have to come out of the room and get...

❌ Worst Experience Ever – Do Not Book This Hotel ❌

I booked this hotel on 22nd August and cancelled it on the very same day. Even after a month has passed, I still haven’t received my refund. Every time I followed up, their only response was “wait for another 2–3 days”. This has been going on for weeks!

How can anyone trust a hotel that: • Holds on to your money for so long after cancellation, • Collects your personal data through registration documents, • And shows such unprofessional and irresponsible behavior?

Even though this property is under the government, the way it functions is extremely disappointing and feels corrupted to the core. They simply do not care about their guests.

⚠️ Please think twice before booking this place. If they can do this with me, they can do it with you too. Save your time, money, and peace of mind – choose any other hotel, but...

The location is A1 !!! But the rooms are not so great. We planned to stay the night, then the next morning enjoy the sunrise, have breakfast and leave. If your plan is something like this, you can come and stay at mayura sangam, it is very convenient. But if you are expecting luxury and full-on 5 star comfort, this place is not for you. Although, the beds are soft and comfy, It gets really cold right after monsoon as the windows open to the river. The food is decent. But the property itself, hotel and restaurant both are poorly maintained, very poorly maintained. It feels like it has been sidelined by Karnataka State Tourism Department. The property manager is just holding on to whatever is remaining. All aside, the views are worth it, you can enjoy some of them here.

Nice little hotel tucked exactly in the sangam of Rivers Kaveri and Arkavathy. While the rooms are on one side of the road, their restaurant is on the other side of the road. The check in counter/Reception is also located at the restaurant. However there is parking for about 6-8 cars within the hotel compound. The hotel attendant is one wonderfully capable autistic boy. Opens rooms, carries luggage, assists in parking, assists in random requests of tourists, helps in the restaurant, doubles up as watchman at night. And extremely efficient, helpful and always smiling. Staff at the reception are also most polite and helpful. Food is reasonably good. Some rooms in the second floor only have good views of the sangam. No elevators, though.
