Spread across 10 acres of lush, forest-like landscape, it's an ideal setting for a leisurely walk to burn off those extra calories. The serene canopies of trees and the melodic chirping of cuckoos only add to its allure. What sets us apart is our strategic location, just a short walk from the airport. This makes it a convenient choice for travellers journeying from Vidya Nagar Hampi to Bangalore and beyond, including international destinations. Their meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to the guests make them invaluable assets to the hotel. Read moreWe stayed there for the Diwali weekend and it was one of the few highly rated places available .
Without much ado getting down to the pro con list. Since the cons list is a long winded one I will start with the cons first
1 Quite far from the attractions (45 min to 1hr:15 mins depending on the time of the day and traffic.) 2 Bathrooms have no locks 3 Our AC was not working , it was a hot night, when we complained on the second night they did offer to switch us and when we said it was too late at night , they offered a fan which saved the night 4 Breakfast taste was below average but on the first day at least there were some items left for us to eat. On the second day they ran out of almost all items and it was just 7:30 AM which was supposed to be a non-rush hour. The refilling took for ever and some items were not refilled for a whole 30 minutes that we were there. 5 The room key cards are old and jaded, so you have to do multiple tries to make them work 6 The place is so far and expensive yet they don't have any arrangement for the driver. Of course we were ready to pay extra, it is just they don't have any facility and we had to make separate arrangements for the driver. 7 The surprising thing for a star rating hotel is they don't carry absolutely any reading material - no newspapers , magazines, table books anything . Covid cannot be an excuse when every person and their dog were parading around without a mask.
It does have some good stuff too 1 Our rooms were very clean, bathrooms were cleaner 2 All necessary toiletries were in place 3 They has hot water at all times and we have taken a shower at some really weird times but the water was always pleasantly the right temperature 4 The place is located inside the Jindal township and the surroundings are really awesome.
All in all, stay here if you are the kind that likes to lounge around the place a bit , if you are on a whirlwind tour of Hampi this place wont cut it. And yes, please get your own...
Read moreI recently stayed at Hyatt Place Hampi for three nights and the experience was quite disappointing. Despite being unwell and desiring room service, I was informed that the hotel doesn't provide it as per policy, even though a QR code for in-room dining was available in the room. This limitation became inconvenient and after a long discussion and illogical reasons by Mr. Chandan, finally the soup was served.
The following morning, at 10:15 am, during breakfast, I placed an order at the live counter. However, the staff seemed reluctant to take orders as the buffet was closing at 10:30 am. This lack of flexibility and the absence of proactive service, where in standard hotels staff usually checks with every table before closing, left me extremely disappointed.
For dinner, I ordered Mutton Rogan Josh, which turned out to be a collection of bony pieces, making it unfit for consumption. It reflected poorly on the quality of the food being served.
Overall, it felt like the staff and management considered their budget segment status an excuse for substandard service. The attitude seemed to be that, being a part of the Hyatt Place budget segment, they could offer inferior facilities and hospitality.
I booked this hotel due to limited options during the long weekend, even though it was an hour away from Hampi's main attractions. However, I regret this decision as the poor service did not justify the tariffs charged.
My experience was far from satisfactory, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my...
