This stay is a perfect example of false promises, abysmally low service levels at sky high prices. We booked it as a group of college friends staying with spouses and kids, for 3 nights.
The first night was okayish, the dinner order was taken around noon on the phone (before we arrived) and it seemed like a good proactive action.
The series of let downs started as we entered :
No umbrellas available at the property, the care taker Harish kept mentioning he will get it the next morning. They only arrived the night before our check out, after almost a hundred requests to Harish and to the space managers Shahrukh and Sanjana.
There seems to be a 8 to 12 hour lead time for getting any meal prepared. Bfast has to be ordered by 6pm the day before, dinner has to be ordered by noon time. Bcoz surprisingly they keep no material handy. They strongly urged us to order from Swiggy Zomato and kept praising the restaurents nearby. Harish had the audacity to pin the blame on us that we didn't let him know well in time, I mean c'mon why is he even the caretaker ? How are we supposed to know the lead times without him telling us ?
Managing power cuts is not their responsibility, and we had to constantly remind them to switch on the generator. Random excuses like "diesel is finished, we will need to get it from far", "Now we need to rest the genset for few hours" were made, completely ignoring the discomfort faced by us with 2 toddlers in the group.
It's best you don't visit this place for the pool, it was very dirty and once again the rain was blamed for it, as the filtration system was useless, and was quietly switched off at every opportunity, we had to remind like 10 times a day to keep it on bcoz we really wanted to see if it worked.
First morning we were told that hot water will be available on demand as the boiler needs to be set up. We asked for the hot water availability for 8am. Barring first day, it was forgotten on rest 2 days. "Sir you need hot water today also" was the excuse on days 2 and 3, I mean what are these guys smoking!!
After raising all the complaints to Harish (property caretaker), he dodged saying he doesn't usually manage this property and is at a diff property and he doesn't know things work here.
The gazebo near the pool is constructed on a hollow base, the marble in the centre collapsed as I was standing, and I ended up bruising my foot. No apologies, no concern shown by anybody.
The kitchen was smelly and had limited pots and pans for us to make anything for the kids. Even the basic groceries like tea leaves, sugar had to be bought from the market and there was nothing in stock (the staff did help in running errands). The staff had to be reminded after every meal to clear out the tables and wash the dishes / sauce pans.
When all of these issues were raised to Shahrukh and Sanjana, they promised that they will do something in the final bill value for the inconvenience faced by us. At the last moment when the bill had to be settled, they did not pick up the phone even after multiple tries and SMS/ WhatsApp msgs, and the caretaker held us for clearing the bill as per the agreed rate without any discount.
The washroom on ground floor had inch wide open gap in the windows, between the glass and the wall. Anybody standing on the other side could easily peep inside, it obviously didn't feel very safe. The other side of the washroom is where the staff used to rush to set up the boiler.
In the nutshell, "ye abhi nahi ho paega sir", "vo saman le ke aana padega" was the standard excuse for everything. We didn't try the jacuzzi and other amenities, but are very sure they didn't work properly. Would suggest to avoid this place unless you get it at dirt cheap rates and have zero expectations from the caretakers.
