I seriously doubt how this place got a 4+ star rating on Google. We paid 5500 for a deluxe room, which was not worth it at all. I felt like I was staying in a hostel with a lot of restrictions. Every request we made was met with a response of "not allowed."
While I understand that every hotel has its own policies and we respect that, can you believe that the restaurant staff rejected my request to keep Coca-Cola in the refrigerator? I had to argue with them just to get it done.
Everything that could go wrong went wrong:
The room was not clean; it was full of webs and dust.
I had to request a bucket for the washroom and wait for 15-20 minutes to get one. This should have been provided without me having to ask for it; it's a basic amenity.
Even though food was included in the price, we had to wait 30 minutes just to get a cup of tea.
If you order anything that's not on the menu, it takes at least an hour, which was not communicated when we placed the order. For example, we ordered a starter, but by the time it was served, we were already having dessert. Furthermore, it was excessively salty, making it inedible.
The swimming pool was not operational at all, but we were charged the full amount.
We experienced water logging in the restrooms, and the staff suggested that we wait for the water to drain by itself.
The hand-wash area in the restaurant was not cleaned at all.
The water from the tap was thin. You can see it in the video. Even after turning on both the hot and cold water taps, the water remained thin.
We were told that we couldn't consume alcohol on the premises, which we understood and refrained from doing. However, to our surprise, we noticed other guests consuming alcohol during dinner time. When I inquired about this, they informed me that they allow alcohol consumption upon request. They instructed us to request permission at the reception, and only if approved, could we consume alcohol. Seriously, is this the policy?
If you have a choice, I strongly advise against staying here. I could have chosen other options, but I was swayed by...
Read moreRooms are very nice, pricing is on the higher side. Food is not great except few north Indian dishes. Enough and safe parking is available. Little on the far side from the city where no attractions are there. Wifi facility is there in room, restaurant and few other places. Approach 50 mtr road is not good but thats the case with 70% of the hotels in Dandeli. Staff is helpful. Room service is not available thats the biggest problem. I might avoid this hotel next time only for this reason. Owner is nice and very helpful. Has an EV CHARGING point for electric vehicles.
Edit for owners reply* No explanation is required for feedback its an honest feedback for other travellers who want clear picture of what is currently there and what is not there. The city centre is more then 3.5kms and as per google maps Dandeli bus stand and Shreeyog resort are 5.6kms away from each other. (there is nothing in 2kms radius we walked more then a km to get an auto).
Everyone coming to Dandeli has same interest jungle safari and water activities, travellers are aware why they are visiting a specific destination. The Property and Hotel setup is very nice but has few shortcomings which other travellers would like to know. As i said the owner is very nice and helpful person but please be ready to accept what guest have to say in the feedback. Do read it clearly once again its review is from guest point of view and not owners point of view. And the review...
Read moreWe stayed in Shreeyog Resorts Dandeli on 22nd Dec for two nights in Standard AC Room number B-06, which was in the basement.||The size of the room was quite big and spacious. Both room and bathroom were clean. We had opted for All Meals package which included 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The food served in the restaurant including buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner were of good quality and taste along with sufficient choice.||All the staff including housekeeping, restaurant and Mr. Avinash at front desk were very helpful, friendly and providing very prompt service.||During our first night stay, there was a group of 20-25 people who had gathered in the lawn area enjoying bonfire at night. It started after 10pm and went on until 1am when I had to go out of my room and asked them to stop it immediately, which they agreed. It is unfortunate that people do not have common civic sense.||The next day I informed about this incident to Mr. Avinash and requested him not to allow such gathering after 10pm-11pm. To which he said that they can't enforce such rules. :-(||If you plan to stay in this resort, then please be aware that such thing might happen with you and you can tolerate outside...
