We spent a weekend at Misty Woods homestay. The experience was memorable to say the least. Misty Woods is 35 minutes drive from Sakleshpur. Once we reached the place, we were blown away by its natural scenic beauty. It is surrounded by coffee plantations and hills. Thankful for the warm welcome and great hospitality provided by our beautiful host Seema. She made all kinds of dishes for us during the day, and they were delicious. The place is very neat and clean. We booked the entire cottage (duplex) and it was a very comfortable stay for us. Very friendly people would recommend it more than any star hotel. I would definitely like to go back again.

One of the best places I have ever stayed in. The homestay is a very big location with parking space for about 5 big cars. There are 4 rooms which can sleep 2 people each. These rooms also have attached bathrooms. There is also 1 big dorm in the first floor with 8 beds in total and 1 bathroom in the dorm floor and 1 bathroom in the ground floor. The food was very good and the staff is very polite and friendly. The property is surrounded by a big coffee estate and has a very nice ambience to just chill and relax.

An absolute gem of a property in an unbelievable location, simply a perfect spot for a weekend getaway from the city to unwind, relax & eat delicious food.

Seema is a fantastic & considerate host, welcomes everyone with a warm smile & makes you feel immediately at home. Her hospitality & thoughtful touches in everything at the place shows how passionate she is in running it - she has converted her ancestral home into a heritage villa on the hilltop, totally surrounded by nature.

As soon as you walk in, you can tell that a lot of thought has been put in to everything at the villa. The place was incredibly clean and well set up for kids & large groups; well furnished with all amenities one could ask for. Plenty of space outdoors for group activities or games, but you could take a walk in any direction and enjoy nature; or simply relax on the huge balcony upstairs sipping a cup of coffee & enjoying the views. The pictures don’t do justice to the actual beauty of the cottage & its location!

We devoured the sumptuous home cooked dishes, made with immense love and care by Seema & her staff - we started every meal saying this is too much food & ended up asking for more! She was kind enough to discuss with us the recipes & tips, which we couldn’t resist asking!

Highly recommended for someone looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway in the midst of unspoiled nature. Very seldom do we find ourselves thinking of a location we wish to visit again, but Misty Woods is on that list now - would love to come back for a longer stay! Thank you so much Seema for being such a lovely &...

Our stay at Misty Woods Homestay in Chikmagalur was truly memorable. Nestled amidst serene coffee plantations and misty hills, the property offers the perfect escape into nature. The surroundings were peaceful, scenic, and refreshingly quiet. The rooms were neat, cozy, and well-equipped, blending simplicity with charm.

What truly made the experience stand out was the host, who was extremely warm and friendly. She was very responsive from the time we began planning our stay—always available to answer questions and assist with any arrangements. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Her thoughtful hospitality, gracious demeanor, and excellent taste—evident in the decor, food, and overall atmosphere—made us feel like part of the family.

The local Malnad cuisine was another highlight—fresh, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. The supporting staff were equally friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Their impeccable service added greatly to the comfort and warmth of our stay.

Mornings began with birdsong and ended with peaceful evenings under the stars. This homestay is perfect for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. We left feeling refreshed and grateful—and we’d definitely...

A beautiful home stay with lot of dedication from mrs seema to make sure we had a very comfortable stay over there . stay - was very very comfortable with ample no of rooms for even 15 members . very safe as well cleanliness - was very neat with no sign of dust lizard facilities - very good with space for playing cricket , camp fire was arranged . Mrs seema and family have a house which itself is worth going and watching all the way from Bangalore food - inspite of the regular cook not available and inspite of curfew imposed due to dutta jayanti Mrs seema arranged for a wonderful dinner breakfast and lunch which had all the vegetarian and nonveg options which kept on getting better meal after meal. people are available round the clock for morning tea and late night tea as well so nothing to worry final verdict - a must go for all those who are reading this . a big thumbs up. most reviews usually are posted just for the sake of it but I hope people understand that I have posted...
