We booked this place via MMT overlooking a few negative comments thinking they were just a rarity. It was raining from the day 1 of our stay and continued till our checkout which dampened our spirits a bit as sightseeing and fun around the campus also was restricted to very few activities. The rain was persistent throughout the day and sometimes very heavy. The rooms and the restaurant is a little away from the entrance and reception area, so they have engaged a winger for transportation within the premises if you need it. Restaurant here basically serves you buffet and is charged at 900/- per person. For this amount you will expect quality of taste and variety of food. You will be disappointed on both counts and thus i have not clicked any food pics.. We unfortunately were on CP plan, meaning only breakfast was included in our plan. This is our normal option as we normally tend to eat outside locally during our sightseeing. Sightseeing was a flopshow as it was raining throughout so we were at the mercy of their restaurant for our food. Which turned out to be a big let down. The food service was poor for lack of varieties you had pick from whatever they had made and no personal requests for changes are accommodated. They don't even make dosa options or egg options. Very rigid in terms of items and requests.

We chose this property for our biking group as it could accommodate all 30 of us. The resort has about 40 cottages spread across 20 acres with a large swimming pool n hanging bridge. They also have a private poolb villa. The reception is at the beginning of the property but the cottages and restaurant are at the bottom about 300 meters away. You can easily walk down but it gets difficult with luggage. You have to depend on just one van to ferry you to the cottages and this could take a long time. The cottages and bathrooms are spacious and spread out but there is no major upkeep. The bedsheets are stained and the balconies are not maintained. There is no intercom to connect to reception and mobile network is limited. So, you have to walk to the restaurant if you want something. The reception staff is inexperienced in hospitality and their entire system breaks down when the property is fully booked on long weekends. Their only saving grace is the restaurant n food which is decent. This property has a lot of potential but the management is not able to maintain it. We paid Rs 5000 per head including all meals which was not worth it.

When your resort had Hobbit styled spacious cottages, expansive nature spaces, a view to die for, a man made Heart Shaped Lake with Kayaking, great food options in a spacious dining area, multiple resort activities and is set in a secluded natural setting, there is no doubt that the holiday is going to be fantastic. Mookanana is all that and more. The resort is impressive and the rooms beautiful and very spacious. The attic styled upper floor is a Delight for kids but can easily accommodate adults too. The heart shaped lake is stunning with wonderful kayaking in-house TT, badminton, bonfires and music with live grills...so much to do Another highlight was their assistance for the Electric charging of our EV The most Alluring is the location... set in the middle if nowhere literally it feels like we have left civilization behind but have all the comforts Just a sensational getaway

Disappointed Experience – Not Worth the Hype!

I had high expectations for this resort based on the photos and reviews, but unfortunately, my weekend stay was far from pleasant. We booked 5 cottages, and the initial process was slow and disorganized, and the staff seemed indifferent rather than welcoming, they had strict check-in process at 1 pm, after having a long drive with no shops in the vicinity they should have at least offered a welcome drink on arrival for the heavy amount they charge. The room was poorly maintained — a musty smell, and main door handles and fittings were missing and clearly needed repair. For the exuberant price charged, I expected at least basic cleanliness and comfort. Food options were ok but taste was not good and additional Al-Carte items extremely limited and overpriced. The service at the restaurant was slow, and on top of that, some dishes we ordered arrived cold. The pool area was overcrowded and not well-maintained. The tiles are broken and they have kept socks initially no one informed us and when we entered the pool we had cut on our foot and start to bleed, no one is present around the pool to monitor or advise to wear the socks before getting in to pool, it was lying around the pool in bad and torn condition few people grabbed those ones and wore it before getting in to the pool. As per their terms and conditions liquor is not allowed around the pool, however there were folks having liquor bottles and having in pool with loud music playing and dangerously dancing and jumping into pool, it looked like pool was not meant for family and kids, just ridiculous. And, they had small lake filled with gushy muddy water with 3 broken kayaking boats and extremely muddy, torn, dirty life jackets and however when we took it few meters the gushy muddy water filled the boat it just got collapsed, this was scary and night mare we just got saved our life because it was not deep enough. Next day morning at 7 am, we had guided nature walk, but no water in any of the cottages, people using washrooms got struck for more than 2 to 3 hours, this was so annoying that no one cares, reception not reachable phone contacts not answering, when approach they just demonstrate wage and careless attitude. There are many more issues, like none of the rope activities, indoor games etc., are in working condition, getting lengthy and wish to conclude with – “Just Pathetic” Overall, it felt like the resort focused more on marketing than on delivering a good guest experience. I would not recommend this place and will certainly not...

I had a great experience staying at Mookanana Resort which feels like a serene paradise. It was an extraordinary journey to the core of Western Ghats that surrounds Mookanana resort, which promises a refreshing gateway for exploring nature’s beauty surrounded by lush greenery, mountain peaks, waterfalls, rich biodiversity, offering ample opportunities for trekking which rejuvenates our mind, body and soul. Mookanana resort is more than just a place to stay, it is an experience, a place where you can re-connect with nature, pamper yourself and create blissful memories for a lifetime. Whether you are seeking a family vacation or a solo retreat or business trip or a study tour or a romantic gateway Mookanana resort is a perfect place to release every stress and to find your inner peace and also they have a conference room with a intake of 150 members for corporate meetings, seminars, gatherings or parties. This resort offers a variety of accommodation options to suit all budgets and preferences. The cottages are well equipped with all the facilities and well maintained the cleanliness standards which ensure us with a comfortable stay. Hospitality services in this resort is very nice and we had received a very warm welcome, mentioning about the staffs they are incredibly attentive and friendly and they are knowledgeable about the local areas for providing recommendations. The resort restaurant blends with a heart shape glazed mark overlooking a heart shape lake for kaya king which I felt a very nice view. This resort restaurant serve up a delicious array of Buffet dishes from traditional south Indian to north Indian (veg and non-veg) and the freshed locally sourced ingredients’ add a touch of flavor to dish. At the end of this journey we had a natures walk in that we had explored a surrounding forests, ancient trees, plethora of wildlife which ensures the study of local flora and fauna. Another uniqueness we found in this resort is they had put on the toposheet maps in the resort which explains about the geographical features of west flowing rivers and surrounding irrigation and power projects which is very knowledgeable especially for students who are more aspiring in learning.

Overall in my experience I had a blissful and memorable stay to cherish for a lifetime. Highly recommend this resort stay for every sector of peoples for enjoying as well as...

Dear Mookanana Resort,

To begin with, We recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible resort and We must say, We were thoroughly impressed! The hospitality of the staff was simply outstanding - they were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Their friendly nature really helped set the tone for our entire stay.

The food at the resort was simply delicious - We savoured every bite! The range of options available was fantastic and each meal was well-prepared and packed with flavour. The resort truly did a great job of catering to all dietary needs and preferences.

The staff response was also brilliant - they were prompt, efficient, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we were comfortable during our stay. Every request was met with a smile and it was clear that they genuinely cared about making our stay truly unforgettable.

The resort is located in a stunning natural setting and it was a joy to be able to spend time in such a peaceful and tranquil environment. The rooms and cottages were beautifully designed and extremely comfortable. we all loved the attention to detail that was put into ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

The swimming pool was definitely a highlight of our stay - it was clean, well-maintained, and so relaxing! We loved being able to take a dip and soak up some sun in such a beautiful setting.

In addition to, The staff support was simply incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy and comfortable during our stay. Their kindness and commitment to excellent service was truly appreciated, and we cannot thank them enough for making our stay such a memorable one.

Furthermore, We are happy to say, as the name says Mookanana (Mooka + Kaanana) it's damn matches with it's name as a silent forest.

Overall, we would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. From the hospitality and food to the stunning natural surroundings and great staff support, it truly is a wonderful place to stay!

Thanks &...
