Myst Resort-A nightmare and full life Trauma. It took me 2 week courage to write this review.I don’t want others to suffer that we did. So here it begins our terrible experience. Do not get trapped on the ratings. Its there people only who writes good things about it. You will see a review from person named RAMAKUMAR SV, he the manger there.The post pathetic person you will find anywhere.We were 8 people and booked 4 cottage for 2 days for worth 50k(our worst decision ever). Firstly this place is not in Shakleshpur,its 50km from there’s ,its a trap.It completely isolated from main city,if anything happens, you are gone, no help. Day 1 when we reached, they gave shitty lunch worth 550 each place, which barely had anything.Since it’s in forest, you don’t have another options, so have to take that only. Out of 4 rooms 3 had problems -no AC was working, no flush was working, lots of insects,dirty beds/bottols.Shortly if I say, you mention any problem, you can find there.We informed the manager named Ramakuma SV.He was taking nicely in the start(it was a complete game).After listening the complaint, he acted if he is unaware,and assured,will be fixed(complete lie). At 8 in evening we were having dinner, no power in the whole campus. We took the buffet option since they don’t follow any menu. In the middle of our dinners guy came and rudely said no more food left,and can’t give us if we need anything. When we can back to our rooms, still the Ac was not working in 2 rooms and washrooms Flush not working in 1. At 11.30 manager says over call ,since he came home, all the issues will be solved morning next day.Just imagine how we have managed that too after paying this much huge money. At 12 in midnight, power cut happened and no power for whole night. There Wes not a candle in the rooms, the whole campus was completely dark, not a single ray of light. Next day morning, when we complaint about the issue we faced, he completely denied ,on top of it he said all are resolved. The manager has done PHD in saying lies,threatning and acting.Manager started attacking us personally. He literally said that we are not capable of staying in this resort, we won’t be able to afford the thing.he said a lot of other things,since we don’t understand his languages can’t write here. While we were having these discussing, the properly owner was there the whole timeout they didn’t bothered to come and ask once.All the staff don’t give a damn how guest will live there.They don’t care about the issues.Out of no where the Manger says, since you guys are complaining too much, no lunch and dinner will be prepared(he knew we were new to that place and no place to eat in 15km radius). The other day, when we went to have our breakfast, his staff came and said, no breakfast prepared for you people,even though it was complementary. We simply asked us to checkout.We asked for compensation for all the things we faced in last 2 days,Manager started abusing us. He started putting false accusations on us. He stated saying He will put drugs/white sugar/ganja in rooms and call the cops.We said, ya callow will also deal with them.He literally said, he is local, police will listen to him only and not us. He literally threatened assaying I will also see how you guys leave this place safely. I have recorded videos of that also. We went to had fun, but we got a trauma there for life time. We tried to reach out to customer care, but no one bothers to even listen. I would suggest not to go there even if that is the last resort left on earth. HORRIBLE Experience at Myst Resort, Sakleshpur – DO NOT BOOK!

What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway turned into a distressing and shocking experience. I’m writing this detailed review to WARN fellow travelers about the horrifying conditions and disgraceful behavior we encountered at Myst Resort, Sakleshpur.
Day 1: False Promises & Broken Facilities
On arrival, we were misled into believing that lunch was complimentary—it was not.
One room had a malfunctioning washroom, temporarily "fixed" by housekeeping, only to break again later.
We were invited for "complimentary snacks" by the pool, but were charged for them.
Dinner was advertised as an "unlimited buffet," but the chef tried to limit us to 2 rotis per person, saying only rice was unlimited. Only after we raised our voice were we offered more.
Multiple power cuts occurred and backup power was not activated.
The manager was dismissive and unhelpful throughout.
Day 2: Insults, Discrimination & No Resolution
Power outage from midnight to 4 AM—no candles, torches, or basic safety measures provided.
In another room, the AC was stuck ON, and the remote was non-functional. Staff lied about it and later admitted the AC was broken for days.
Manager Ram insulted our group, saying we “look poor” and were “causing problems to get free food.”
We spent 2 hours waiting for them to fix the issues—AC and washroom still not fixed.
We chose to eat outside the resort due to the horrible food and service.
Ram accused us of breaking the AC ourselves to avoid payment—completely false and insulting.
Day 3: Intimidation, Blackmail & No Breakfast
We were denied breakfast unless we paid a pending bill (even though it was before checkout time).
When we tried to record the incident, the manager accused us of having drugs and threatened to call the police if we filmed anything. This blackmail forced us to leave immediately.
We filmed each room before leaving as proof against false accusations.
Other Major Concerns:
Owner ignored complaints about power issues.
Indoor games were broken, rooms poorly maintained.
Resort is in a remote area with no nearby transport or food options, forcing guests to overpay for poor food.
Water bottles were unhygienic, and many amenities were either broken or not provided as advertised.
We later found out that Manager Ram has a history of misleading guests and covering up pre-existing issues.
Booking Support:
Flipkart Travel’s customer support was helpful and responsive.
However, the hotel management did not respond to their follow-ups, showing how unprofessional and irresponsible they are.
Final Verdict: AVOID AT ALL COSTS
This place is a nightmare—mismanaged, unhygienic, unsafe, and unprofessional. Lies, threats, discrimination, and criminal intimidation should not be tolerated at any resort, let alone one charging ₹51,000 for two nights.

This is without any doubt the most terrible experience we ever had in our last 25 years of travel experience. Nothing, I repeat NOTHING in this resort is worth the money. Staff - The property is managed by an agency and thy have hired some random people who have no experience in the hospitality industry. They are very bad in attitude, absolutely care less and I don't give a damn if you want to complain attitude. One specific person is like - you can complain whoever you want to, I retired from the army so I care about nobody. From the start, they were rude, dismissive, and seemed completely uninterested in providing any sort of hospitality or service. When I approached them for assistance, they responded with a careless attitude, as if my concerns were not worth their time. This level of unprofessionalism was both shocking and unacceptable.
Not only were they unhelpful, but their overall demeanor was downright obnoxious, making what should have been a pleasant stay incredibly uncomfortable. I understand that everyone can have off days, but the behavior displayed by this staff member went far beyond that. As a paying guest, I expected at least basic courtesy, and sadly, this was not delivered.
Facilities: Nothing is functioning in this property be it the pathway lights, Geyser, Air conditioner, Toilet, Swimming pool, Parking... Nothing. The bedsheets are dirty, they don’t have any extra quilts or blankets. Toilets are dirty. Snails, Spides, Insects in all cottages.
Parking: You can only park inside the facility f you are a ro level driver. The entrance path is broken. Food: They don’t have any functioning kitchen so the food comes in packets from some far off place so you can only wait for it to arrive. Even for evening tea we had to wait for the milk to arrive so that they can make the Tea. Funniest was they have stored used water bottles and when we raised the issue that the glass bottles are not clean and they seem yellow so please give us bottled water. They filled the used bislery and Aquafina water bottles with the available water and gave us. We were shocked, what’s happening with us. Play Area: Carrom board and TT tables have white layer of fungus so you can’t even touch it. Football is torn. Nothing in the recreational area is in a condition that you can even touch it, forget about using it. Swimming pool is an open one so it has all kinds of insects, vegetation and anything which can fly inside the pool. If you don’t have any skin infection, try this pool and you will surely get one.
I can write pages complaining about this property. This is a DAY LIGHT ROBBERY in name of a resort. People managing this should be ashamed of themselves for listing this as a resort. They put all so fancy pictures to dupe gullible guests and then give them shocker of their lives.
Please stay away from this resort for at least next two years. May be some day they may turn around.
