Nakoor Volkot - what can I say about it..|First of all, very very sorry Usha aunty and Ben uncle for delaying the review by a year and half.. 😬.|Nakoor Volkot is actually 2 properties, both located on the same land owned by the Ganapathy family.|We were lucky to be accommodated in the single bedroom outhouse bang in front of the Ganapathy family home.|My wife and I, we fell in love with the place as soon as we laid our eyes on it.|We were welcomed by their pet dog as soon as we reached.|The homestay is nestled amidst beautiful woods and the coffee estate owned by the family. We stayed for 3 days in May 2023. The mornings were so refreshing and made more so with tasty and kadak filter coffee (uncle gave us a tour of the plantation and showed how coffee plants were grown). We also saw different types of birds on the property.|We were treated to lipsmacking home made food by Usha aunty as well as came to know a bit about the Kodava history from both of them.|They helped us with cab booking for local sightseeing and their son helped us explore restaurants and shops in Madikeri with his inside knowledge of the town.|The whole family, including their daughter-in-law and grandson treated us as one of them and welcomed us wholeheartedly in their home. They also have a really great collection of art and antiques which one can appreciate if one has time.|The place is a bit off-road from the hustle and bustle of Coorg (its located in interior Suntikoppa), so try reaching it when there is daylight. Also, carry your essentials for emergencies with you since you may find it difficult to locate any shops nearby at night.|We highly recommend staying at Nakoor Volkot to experience nature at its best.|Hope to see you soon...

We stayed at Nakoor Volkot for two days in December,2017 and needless to say this to be an amazing experience, in fact best ever Homastay experience till date. Being situated within coffee plantation in a village named 'Nakoor', Coorg, far away from the maddening crowd of the tourist places the place is completely refreshing, serene, peaceful. ||If I talk about the surroundings, this homestay is in a coffee plantation owned by Usha Ganapathy(the owner of the homestay) absolutely in the lap of nature. The house is a big 2BHK with big rooms, TV room, dining hall and fully furnished kitchen. ||Usha who co-ordinated everything was very helpful and cooperative, she made sure that we had a comfortable stay there. Her son,daughter-in-law and grandson was very nice, well behaved and courteous.||The caretaker Shivappa knows what we need and when. Whenever we returned after local sight seeing he asked us for coffee or he was ready with bed tea every day and that is also free of cost. He is the one who took us for a walk around the coffee plantation. His little daughter Sphurti is very sweet and cute.||Well, I should not forget to let you know about the food they serve. The food was hygienic, tasty, homely, and lip-smacking. We were overeating those days just because of the food quality.||||Our stay was so much blissful enjoying the serenity of nature that it is very hard to point out anything on which it needs an improvement. Only thing is, Mobile network(except for Airtel and BSNL) was not available or having very poor signal.||||So in case anybody needs a break from the modern haste and hurry just for a few days, this place could be oneof the best...

We had a long stay at Nakoor Volkot. Beautiful house! Great ambience! Backyard was amazing, maintained well and clean. Misty mornings and moon-lit, star-studded clear night skies added to the charm of the place. Garden blossomed with roses during most of our stay. Trails through the estate were a pleasure to walk through. Many thanks to Prashanth, the host for making our stay memorable. Rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were spacious and very comfortable. Ample parking space within compound for self-driven cars. Highly recommended for families looking for some quiet time in the midst of nature.

It is located in the mid of coffee estate and also surrounded by the forest area which makes the stay calm and peaceful. And we really felt the greatness and the beauty of the nature when we live close to it, especially the darkest nights (which cannot be experienced especially in cities) takes us to the Stars and brings many childhood memories 😊 Host "Prashant" made the stay more adventurous and excited by not only guiding us to the untouched scenic beauties but also rode with us. Thanks a lot for your hospitality and riding with us 🙏
