We recently stayed at Rain Drops Stay in Coorg for two nights, coming from Chennai. Initially, we had some doubts about the experience, but after our first day, we were completely satisfied and happy to have chosen this place. Here’s why:
Why You Should Choose Rain Drops Stay Ambience: The vibe of the place is perfect for relaxation and enjoyment. Great Assistance: A big shoutout to Bharath and Dhanush for their exceptional hospitality. Ideal for Groups: It’s the perfect spot to hang out and vibe with friends. No Disturbances: The stay is peaceful and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. Amenities: • Hot water available. • A dedicated fire camp area. • Spacious and cozy rooms. Entertainment: Their speakers and campfire setup are the best! Food: Chitranna and Neer Dosa with Tomato Gojju were absolutely delicious. Service: Special thanks to Prasanth, who was always ready to arrange anything we needed within their available time.
Areas for Improvement The chicken curry was decent, but it could use a better or more universal flavor. It would be great to see more authentic Karnataka dishes added to the menu.
Special Mention
This might seem like an overstatement, but Bharath and Dhanush stood out for their kindness and respect. We had some unpleasant encounters with a bus driver, a jeep driver, and a few locals in Coorg, but these two truly made our experience memorable.
Thank you, Bharath! Keep up the great work and continue being so warm and welcoming.
We would definitely recommend Rain Drops Stay and would love to...
Read moreI had an amazing stay at Rain Drop Farm Homestay in Coorg. The serene location amidst lush greenery made it a perfect getaway from the city's hustle. The hosts Bharat & Dhanush were incredibly warm and welcoming, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was comfortable.
The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. I particularly loved the ambience entrance and the water heater was functioning for almost 17 members to take a bath.
The food was a highlight—homemade and authentic Coorg cuisine that was both delicious and comforting. Although First day's dinner was quiet average but on second day's dinner was awesome. Special mention to their Coorg cuisine Neer Dosa & chitranna side dish tomato Gojju.
Additionally, the property offered bonfire and the seated wooden tree blocks around the born fire which made the experience even more memorable.
There is some flaws where they should improve is parking your vehicle where there is lacking and they should provide 25L water-can for a huge group of people. But I would highly recommend Rain Drop Farm Homestay to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Coorg. It’s perfect for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation amidst picturesque...
Read moreMy husband and I took off to coorg on a whim. Did not plan a thing and while we were on our way we got to searching for places to stay. Came across this quaint little house in the suburbs of Madikeri. Our host -Mr. Charan, was such a kind and warm hearted person. He helped us plan our trip along with setting us up with a very reliable driver/guide who was a gem of a person too. The house is so beautiful you will instantly fall in love with the aura of it all. Spacious and extremely clean. With mesmerizing views of paddy fields in the distance, rare fruits and flowers growing right at the entrance. Being well versed in the field of agriculture he has a whole lot of plants and trees growing all around his place. And that's not all, they have two very adorable dogs who are so excited to greet you, that you just don't feel like doing what you came to do, and just sit there and relax! The bonfire time we had was very therapeutic. The best thing about this place and the host is, wether it's family or friends or as a couple, the house and the host will meet all your requirements. I highly recommend Rain drop farm stay to anybody who wants to be in the lap of nature yet be able to reach your tourist...
