Raj Sea Front Beach Resort — Hotel in Karnataka

Pros: Rooms are very big and spacious and also, relatively clean. No complaints. View: View from balcony is mesmerising. The beach is hardly 30-40 mts away. Staff is courteous as well. Cons: Poorly maintained rooms. Even the balcony door which ia their selling point area is rusted and stuck. It takes quite an effort to slide open or close. Even the railing has come off at a few points. The only toiletries you get is soap. No shampoo or toothpaste. However that is ok as we always carry these with us. Shower head does not work, you need to use bucket for bathing. The resort is in a remote area and they dont have even water bottles in the property, forget the tea. So if you feel like having tea, you need to walk 1 km. Hotel management should provide some tea bags and creamer atleast when they have provided the kettle as without these, kettle is useless. The A/C is difficult to operate. You meed to take the remote close to AC to make it respond and still you cant get the desired temp. Zomato and Swiggy are the only options for eating and they charge premium charges for delivery. The restaurants close to property (min 800 mts away) dont have good reviews so we did not order from there.

Here is the feedback about the beach. The beach in front of the property is secluded but dirty. Littering all over the place. Probably this is the reason you dont have crowd here. It is more of fishing beach than a tourist place. There is no restaurant around. There is no life guard also so go into water on your own risk. The Hosabettu beach which is 1 km away from here is much cleaner.

We went on a family vacation to Raj Sea Front and I must say it was a great experience, spacious rooms, well maintained, courteous staff, but the best part is the proximity to beach and view from balcony. They do not have a restaurant but the food can be ordered. We stayed there for about eight days here is the pros and cons- Pros- Well maintained rooms, facilities clean the room everyday. Spacious , well lit rooms with good ventilation and WiFi . Good restaurants nearby. Light house and Panambur beach is at 10 minutes distance. Udupi temple is 55 minutes away, Kadiyali temple is a km away from Udupi temple and is a beautiful one. Maha Lakshmi temple is 45 minutes and is a must visit. Beach access is just a few steps away and is a beautiful, clean space that feels like a private beach. Shankara Bhavana, Chintu da dhaba and Pingara are a few restaurants that is nearby and provides great food. Property is pretty close by to Mangalore town and a lot of popular restaurants like Taj Mahal, Woodlands, Pubbas are at quick reach. Great stay at affordable price.

Cons: Toiletries provided by property do not include tooth brush, paste and shampoo. No restaurant within the property. The rooms just as in their property pics. There's bedroom, dining hall, bathroom and a huge balcony facing beach. Easily accommodates a family of four. You just need to mention how many people going to stay, extra beds, bedsheets and Pillows are already there in the wardrobe. They have used very soothing scent/aroma in the room. Sliding glass doors separates dining and balcony. You can keep the curtains open to see beautiful sunset and sunrays to light up your room. Room is also furnished with a kettle, oven and a mini fridge. The care taker will share his contact upon your arrival. You can call him for tea/coffee/breakfast etc. He will provide coffee in a flask, you can return it later. There's no restaurant nearby but we didn't face any issue in ordering food via Swiggy/Zomato and also there will be menu in the room from restaurants. One of them also deliver liquor with very nominal fee. In the same lane about a km away you will find Lantern cafe good for fast food. Good time to go to beach is 6am to 10am and 5.30pm to 7.30pm. You will find group of local fisherman there but nothing to worry. After days netting they will do the math and later play games/cards, that's their timepass place. After beach you can wash yourself first at the shower provided in the parking place. Care taker accepts upi payments and cash. Reach by 11am so you can make full use of your stay.
