We had the pleasure of staying at Redearth, Kabini for 3D/3N, and it was an unforgettable experience. Here’s a breakdown of our stay:||Booking and Check-in Experience: The booking process was seamless. We arrived around 10:45 AM, even though check-in was at 1:00 PM, but the staff was very accommodating. They took care of our baggage, and while we waited for check-in, they guided us to the restaurant for a welcome drink and suggested we explore the property. We had a pleasant stroll around and even bumped into the owner, Rachel, who kindly suggested we visit the bar for a drink and music. By the time we returned, our room was ready. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was exceptionally welcoming.||Accommodation: We stayed in a suite that was beautifully designed. The room had a cozy sit-out with a private yard, open to the sky, featuring a built-in jacuzzi and comfortable seating for two—an ideal spot to relax. The bedroom was spacious, with all necessary amenities, and there was a large, well-maintained bathroom. The vintage, solid wood furniture added a touch of heritage charm that I personally loved. The room was immaculately clean and well-maintained, giving a homely, old-world feel.||Location: The location of the resort is stunning. It’s nestled in the midst of lush flora, with the serene river adding to the peaceful ambiance. Words can’t do justice to the beauty of the natural surroundings—absolutely gorgeous and tranquil in every way.||Facilities and Services: While we didn’t use the pool, it looked inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful spa, which provided a relaxing experience. Dining at the restaurant was a treat—delicious food with a wide spread and variety. The colonial-style bar was another highlight for me, as it was well-stocked, and I could play my own music. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We also went on nature walks with their knowledgeable naturalists, especially Agnes, a budding naturalist who made the experience even more enjoyable.||Food and Dining: The food was exceptional. Every meal was a delightful experience with great variety and quality. The dining setting was equally beautiful, enhancing the overall experience.||Staff and Service: The service was top-notch. We were impressed with the attentiveness and personal touch. The staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable, and even though most employees were from the surrounding village, they spoke good English, making it easy for us to engage with them.||Ambiance and Overall Experience: The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing retreat—peaceful, tranquil, and very rejuvenating. The overall experience was one of the best we've had in recent memory. It’s a perfect getaway to unwind.||Value for Money: The experience was absolutely worth the price. When the experience is this good, price becomes secondary. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene, memorable escape.||Overall, we had an amazing stay at Redearth, Kabini, and we would recommend it 100% for anyone looking for a peaceful and...

To start with, it is a wonderful place to spend your week-end, away from the noise of the city.

Place and Ambiance : Resort is build on the banks of Kabini river in the midst of flush green surroundings. Mornings are so beautiful with birds chirping, cool breeze and wonderful weather. The cottages are well built and the washrooms are very spacious and clean too. They have a Jacuzzi in the back yard (it's a cold water one though). There is a swimming pool located at the center of the resort which is well maintained but we didn't use it because it was already chilled. There is a Spa called ZVAASTHI where they offer different kinds of services. I have opted for Foot reflexology and it was refreshing enough. 5/5 Stars here !! Management and Staff : Management is very co-operative and helpful. Arun (one of the two managers) was in constant touch with us from the time we started till the time we checked-out and guided us through-out our stay. staff was very nice and polite. They accepted most of our requests (except getting food to the cottage as it might attract insects and rodents followed by snakes LOL) with a smile. All the employees will smile at you while you pass by or while you eat or while you stand there and watch the nature around you. Very nice people. 5/5 stars here !! Food and Drinks : They have one main restaurant POSHINI which serves wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner. To mention here (out of my own experience, food at such resorts is not so good) the food was so amazing, especially Non-veg starters. Spread was good enough and you'll have plenty of varieties to enjoy your food. Chefs were courteous enough to offer "Khichdi" to our 2 years old boy and also helped in cooking our own home made food for the boy. They also have a small eatery facing Kabini river where they serve some snacks and drinks. Ideal for relaxing and having a beer before lunch or an ice-cream post lunch (BTW, don't miss the Ice-cream here). There is a main bar at the center of the resort called WETLANDS. The place is big and is built on a man-made lake. It's a nice place to hang-out, especially in the nights. Special mention here should be about Raja, the bar man. He is a very friendly guy and polite. I had a good time chatting with him. 5/5 Stars here !! Rides : They offer a speed boat ride with-in the resort which is chargeable. But it is a good experience. then the Tiger Safari which is twice a day, organised by the Forest Department. We couldn't spot a Tiger but were lucky enough to spot a couple of wild animals and a lovely couple of Cheetahs. The bus driver in the safari was patient enough (to stop the bus while we were taking photos of whatever animal/bird we came across) and tried his best to get us the view of a Tiger. 5/5 Stars here. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we will very soon visit Red...

We were a group of 2 families with 4 kids that stayed in 2 cottages for 3D 2 N during the 19th August Janmashtami long weekend. I was wary of customer service especially after reading the somewhat strong response by management to some of the complaints. And frankly we had booked it as Evolve back, Serai, JLR cottages were fully booked. But I must admit we were all pleasantly surprised. And for new tourists I would recommend checking out Red Earth even before the other options as this was a great choice.. The resort team especially thanks to Prajwal Somanna were super helpful and co-operative. Starting from proactively helping us book a separate jeep for safari the next morning, arranging food for the babies for the morning safari, being super friendly and approachable for every request within the resort like boating , animal feeding , bonfire etc. We even had one of the locks in the room malfunctioning and jacuzzi having some starting trouble. All this was patiently addressed in a jiffy by Prajwal . True hospitality.

Red Earth gets one big thing right which most resorts in such destinations get wrong- Food. Our package had breakfast lunch tea and dinner included and it was top class. Not just us most guests were gushing about the taste of the spread across meals. We all have had horror stories in other resorts in the past related to food but they got this super sorted out. Excellent spread and consistent taste,in fact restaurant visit was one thing the group looked forward to on day 2. While in other resorts we start swiggying on day 2.

The Jacuzzi was an excellent experience, especially for kids, neatly maintained and warm water available from 7-9pm which is apt to ensure no power wastage unnecessarily.

The bar was great, retro style setting. Good options, games available and a friendly bar tender. We had a great time

The pool was huge and nestled among trees , great to spend time there.

The resort was on a lakeside and the walk from cottages to the lake is filled with spots for postcard worthy clicks. The idea of arranging evening tea and snacks at the lake near to boating point (coracle and speed boat) was a great idea and a refreshing experience.

The animal feeding- Horse ,goats and a bunch of great dogs were a fun experience for the kids .

Rooms -Huge Kerala style bathrooms, huge 4 poster bed , 2 sit outs per cottage, red Earth flooring and a lawn outside sit out.

Overall a 5* experience in every...

Good Things about the place. People managing the resort are very humble and always smiling. They make you feel welcomed on every encounter. The view from their wonkey monkey cafe is amazing. The swimming pool is a pretty good. Food is good. Freshly made bakery items are a treat. The picture attached is of the best moment of our stay which was technically not part of resort property and was accessible to outsiders as well. Not so good things. The place had been designed to give the guests a complete earthen feel. That gets a bit overwhelming when there are spiders, centipedes, red ants, moths in your back yard and front yard and everywhere. Entire resort is like walking in a narrow zig zag maze through green forest. So you are always walking on a 2 feet wide “pagdandi”. There is no wide open space in the resort where kids can play or hang out freely. You have to always be extremely conscious with kids as to what insect or reptile they might encounter. So place is probably good for couples and bachelors buy not at all for kids. Also the bathroom is technically not attached to the bedroom. One has to get out of bedroom and walk through the front courtyard(which is open to sky) of cottage to the other end for bathroom. At night this gets impractical and it gets worse if it’s raining. Also the courtyard of the cottage is concrete in few cottages but muddy in most cottages. And if you get the muddy courtyard cottage then your room floor is always messed up. Also there aren’t any activities in the resort as such to pass time. Evening pakoras during high tea in their wonkey monkey cafe were always cold during our 2 day stay. Either they should make fresh or keep hot in micro wave. Tea Coffee was average whereas a mind blowing tea/coffee could have enhance the view and experience so much. Overall paying 24k per night including food for the place wont feel worth it. If you are up for an end to end earthen experience and you get this place for around 10-15k then you can try. If not for the good people running this place then I would have given a harsher review and 1 star rating but I have honestly and objectively pointed out what works and what doesn’t.

I had a wonderful stay at the lovely Red Earth Kabini resort. Every day felt immersed in nature and it was so easy to relax and unwind. The large swimming pool was great for exercising or sunbathing on the comfortable lounge chairs under the swaying palm trees. The spa is a must see. It is nestled behind a curtain of blossoms and plants and once inside there are so many treatments to choose from. I enjoyed an ayurvedic massage and hair oil treatment. You have to experience the steam room and outdoor shower room under more blossoms! The guest cottage I stayed in was so cute and tidy. Storage space and every amenity you could want, as well as a private jacuzzi for a relaxing evening in solitude. All of the staff are friendly and kind and happy to serve you with anything you need. I love that Red Earth Kabini employes local people from the tribal villages and gives them training and opportunities to pursue careers in hospitality. I also loved the early morning safari I did! It was so peaceful quietly drive through the forest, enjoying the sights and sounds. I saw elephants, gore, deer, mongoose, wild dogs and wild boar! But remember to bring a jacket because it is cool in the forest. The food in the restaurant is incredible, they serve all kinds of dishes so you will always find something you like as well as made to order omelettes and dosa in the morning and freshly made breads. The homemade ice cream was delicious! There is a lovely bar as well surrounded by lily pads that is the perfect place to have a long conversation over a drink or meet other guests for a game of snooker. Overall I was extremely satisfied with my stay at Red Earth and can't wait to go back. The owners are a lovely family who are always happy to stop for a chat. And, don't hesitate to check out the other Red Earth properties in the Nilgiris, Gokarna and Tadoba!
