⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Stay at Saatvik Coorg Homestay!
We stayed here during the Diwali holidays as a family (booked 2 rooms for 3 nights) along with our pet — a friendly Golden Retriever. From the moment we arrived, our experience was simply outstanding!
We were warmly welcomed by the host, Mr. Vijay, and were assigned Mr. Lokesh, who took care of everything we needed throughout our stay. The level of service provided was way beyond our expectations — always prompt, polite, and genuinely caring.
The rooms were neat, clean, and surrounded by lush greenery, offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The views are beautiful, and the evenings around the campfire with music made our time even more memorable. The swimming pool is well-maintained and adds to the charm of the property.
Breakfast was complimentary and delicious — though limited to two varieties and fruits each day, everything was served hot, fresh, and unlimited, with constant checks to ensure we had everything we wanted. The kitchen and dining area are clean, and room service is available with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options at reasonable prices.
Other amenities like Wi-Fi and mobile network coverage were good. The property is about 8 km from Kushalnagar, with good access roads except for a short 200–300 mts narrow stretch near the homestay (manageable with care). Major attractions like the Golden Temple, Nisargadhama, Dubare Elephant Camp, Harangi Dam, and Chiklihole Reservoir are within 20 km, while Raja’s Seat and Abbey Falls are around 30 km away.
A special mention to Mr. Lokesh, who went above and beyond — even accompanying me at 4 a.m. to pick up my daughter so that I wouldn’t face any hassle in the night hours. Such gestures truly make a difference!
We loved the stay so much that we extended it by an extra night. Overall, Saatvik Coorg Homestay is a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for families, couples, and even pet owners looking for a peaceful getaway near Kushalnagar.
I’ll definitely stay here again on my next...
Read moreFirst time visit and stay. It's a little interior from the town and the road leading to it is not too smooth but it's green all around and cool. The home is quite large with cottages and rooms catering to couples and families according to the numbers. There's enough space for parking. There's coffee and areca nut plantation around. There's a spacious dining area. Breakfast is free. Lunch and dinner are given only on order. The staff is courteous and friendly. We were offered coffee on arrival because we had eaten breakfast on the way here. We took a family room with two double beds for three adults and two kids. There's an AC and fan, also chairs and table. The attached bathroom is quite spacious. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Theres a large pool we intend to use in the morning and evening. Swimming is relaxing. There'll be camp fire in the night. We came for a two night and three days trip. We're planning to visit some tourist spots in the evening and the rest of the trip. A nice short change for those who are too busy.
Post visit review: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was on their toes, providing us coffee and food to our rooms if we couldn't make it to the dining area. Courteous and friendly. I'd like to mention Rudresh and Gagan and the cook (bhatru) who went out of the way to make us comfortable. Also the manager who looked out to provide what was lacking. They have badminton rackets and foot balls for entertainment. The pool was fun. Kids and adults enjoyed swimming and playing in the water. It was bright, sunny and hot during half the day and rainy in the noon and evening. We went out sightseeing during the day. Nights were cool. We enjoyed the camp fire and music leisurely having dinner though it was softly drizzling. I would suggest a round roof with open seating around the fire. The food was delicious and plenty. Only I wish the menu had more varieties for breakfast. Overall, it was a memorable holiday. Do visit Saatvik...
Read moreWe recently stayed at this homestay during our trip to Coorg, and it was hands down one of the most disappointing travel experiences we’ve ever had. What was supposed to be a peaceful getaway turned into a frustrating and uncomfortable ordeal. Here's why:
Despite the premium rates, the property lacked even the most basic amenities. It’s shocking how poorly maintained and mismanaged everything was.
Food was only available at fixed timings — no exceptions. Miss your slot and you're left hungry. Even if you offered to pay extra, there were no alternatives. You can’t cook, can’t order, and there's nothing nearby. Definitely not what you’d expect from a “homestay.”
Rooms had broken beds, cracked basins, and poorly maintained bathrooms. The toilet in one room was unusable, and water availability was inconsistent, especially during peak times in the morning and evening.
You'd expect clean drinking water to be a basic amenity — not here. We received just one bottle per bed, and were then charged for extra bottles that weren’t even standard brands (labels were suspicious and misspelled). Completely unacceptable.
The location is remote, with no access to shops, cafes, or even a tea stall nearby. You’re stranded unless you have your own transport and are willing to drive long distances for basic needs.
The staff were indifferent, unresponsive, and showed no interest in resolving any of the issues we faced. Hospitality was non-existent.
We informed them in advance about our group size (10 people), but they neither arranged extra space nor offered any consideration — yet we were charged the full amount. For what we received, the cost was nothing short of...
