Visit Date & Group: 20th of this month (sept 2025), office tour with around 52 people. Arrival & Welcome: Reached via bus from the railway station. Warmly welcomed by the staff and was served Blue Lagoon at entrance. Accommodation / Rooms: Stayed in the C region, assigned a king bed room. Added an extra bed, so 3 people shared comfortably. Room was properly maintained, clean, and spacious. TV wasn’t working, but all other amenities were functional. AC available; the geyser is gas-operated, so you need to turn it on a few minutes before use. Balcony view: Lovely lake view; the lake is about 5–6 feet deep, and there are lots of birds, which makes birdwatching in the evening enjoyable. Mosquito caution: Evening mosquitoes are present. They provide repellents and mosquito nets, but additional guidance or dhoop in rooms could enhance comfort. Based on room structure and view, I would recommend certain rooms for honeymoon couples. Food & Dining: Breakfast and dinner offered a buffet with good variety, including fresh fruits, juices, and both veg & non-veg options separately. Staff are friendly and accommodating, including for dietary restrictions or fasting. Example: I was fasting on Saturday, and they provided a special fruit plate. Guests can take small portions and go back for more, ensuring minimal wastage. Taste: About 7/10 – not too spicy, not too oily, good fruit quality. Activities & Experiences: Boating: Two boats available – a 2-seater and a 4-seater. Water is clean; surrounded by trees, giving a natural feel. Soft Archery: Present but not well-maintained yet; they are still building additional structures. Pets: 3 friendly dogs on the property; 4 ducks present, no rabbits. Pet lovers can interact with them. Swimming Pool: Clean, but check timing; small grass and leaves from trees sometimes fall in water. Ambiance & Surroundings: Great scenic views and peaceful natural environment. Team enjoyed the greenery, lake view, birdwatching, and open spaces. Suggestions for Improvement: Room Instructions: Provide QR codes or pamphlets for appliances like TV, geyser usage, and mosquito guidance. Guest Feedback: After check-in, staff could ask guests if they face any difficulties or questions, which could improve experience and leave a positive impression. Infrastructure Development: Noticed ongoing improvements in infrastructure. Looking forward to a fully developed retreat next time, which will make the stay even more enjoyable. Overall Impression: Well-maintained resort with comfortable rooms, good food, and scenic surroundings. Slight areas of improvement: TV repair, archery maintenance, minor pool issues, and better guest guidance. Rating: 8.5/10 Summary: Shoonya Farm Retreat is ideal for office tours, family stays, and couples. The staff are friendly, the view is calming, and the facilities cater to both relaxation and light adventure. With ongoing improvements, it’s a place worth visiting...

This place is about 13 kms from Belgaum city and 10 kms from Siddhi Vinayak English school near VTU. If you are takng the route from VTU, Ensure to use Google map else very high chance to get lost on the way. Approach roads to this resort are in bad shape.

This is spread over large area bang in the middle of nature, surrounded by trees and forest. It's very good for function like family get together with overnight stay,  medium size wedding or engagement function etc. Since the area is huge, they have battery operated vehicles like those on Golf court to ferry to the function hall or restaurant or rooms.

It contains about 60 rooms, sperad over 2 buildings having ground + 2 floors each. Downside is, no elevators for the building so if you have anyone  incapable of walking,  ensure to ask for the rooms on ground floor. Also, restaurant entry is not wheelchair  accessible. Rooms were clean and so was toilet, with air conditioner, TV and coffee maker.

One gets very good view from the room balcony.  Balconies of adjacent rooms are separated with simple metallic bars. One can easily cross ovee these bars and get into any room on that floor, so it doesn't appear safe to leave balcony doors open at night or if you are stepping out. Apart from rooms, they have function hall of approx 400 sitting capacity.

Was here for a function. Arrangement was decent. Staff is polite and helpful. However catering staff needs some more experience to handle such functions. The buffet dinner arrangement was in a pandal, a open place. There was no provision made to keep the food warm, normally they have flame underneath food trays. Being in open place and in winter, with cold breeze flowing,  food soon got cold. Moreover, staff was not at all quick to refill food trays. When we went for dinner, Soup hundi was seen empty and when asked, staff casually said, yes, it got over, we were quite surprised. Then another staff said, refill was on the way and it took them good 10 mins to refill, when rotis and other items got over,  same story, there was no sign of refilling for long time. To take care of the crowd, they had two counters but 2nd counter was way out of sight and no staff or no signboard  to inform invitees about it. While the 1st one had long queue, no one was at the 2nd counter. Next day, For lunch, they had provision for keeping the food warm. However  with great difficulty  they managed to ready the food 20 mins past the...

The most unpleasant experience. Rude staff that have no concern for guests. The owner seems to sit in his ivory tower and shows his disdain towards guests. Seems like he feels it is beneath him to be polite towards the guests. Simple request of wanting to take the car to the dining area as my mother was unable to walk the distance and climb stairs was met with such rudeness and callousness by the staff. They didn't even let us eat in peace kept interrupting us in the middle of food to move the car. The a security tried to summon us by wagging his finger as if we were his servants. Then they take the keys promising that they will bring it back to pick my mother up but then proceed to park it somewhere and just hand the key over with no explanations. When asked about it everyone just shrugs their shoulders like they don't give a damn. It was completely unprofessional behaviour by the staff. They even went to the extent of "accidentally" locking my parents in the room from the outside and then denying it ever happening. They didn't even let me take the car down the ramp infront of the reception area to pickup my mother who has bad knees and cannot climb slopes and then tell me the "vo tho chal sakti hai na" while other select people were allowed to take their cars down the ramp. When I questioned the security about these weird rules seemingly made-up on the spot, and that are completely unwritten and unclear to anyone with even the slightest common sense, he tells me "then you shouldn't have come here". And as a final act of spite, after checkout and handing the keys over to the reception, they make us stop at the exit gate and accuse us of taking the keys with us. Seemed like just wanted to trouble us or something. NEVER AGAIN COMING...

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Shoonya Farm Retreat. From the moment we arrived, the experience was warm, welcoming, and deeply refreshing. Special thanks to Rohit at the front desk, who ensured a smooth and efficient check-in. The lady who welcomed us on arrival was kind and courteous, setting the perfect tone for our stay, EHK and his team was amazing and made sure we had a comfortable stay. A very special mention to Amit Mishra, whose attentive and friendly nature added a personal touch to our experience. The restaurant service was top-notch, and although we can’t recall the name of the gentleman who served us, his professionalism and warmth stood out. We were especially touched when the General Manager came to meet us and made sure our over stay is smooth, the chef personally came out to meet us—a rare gesture that made our meal feel even more special. The food was consistently delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly made with love. From breakfast to dinner, every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. One of the highlights of our stay was the swimming pool—immaculately maintained and truly world-class. It added a serene, luxurious touch to our retreat and was perfect for both relaxing and unwinding. Overall, the people at Shoonya make the place what it is—peaceful, welcoming, and truly rejuvenating. We’re grateful for the care and effort of everyone involved, and we look forward to returning soon.
