We stayed here for two days in the colonial villa and were treated with utmost attention and care. Mr. Charles personally ensured that every step of our vacation was perfect by going way out of the way to guide us at every step - be it for directions to reach the place, local sightseeing, arranging of travel guides, planning our daily itinerary and arranging the most scrumptious meals for us. The level of unconditional and boundaryless personal attention and support given by Mr. Charles is truly exemplary. Location : As this place is near the heart of chikmagalur, all tourist spots are easily accessible and you can plan out a relaxed vacation by balancing between visiting tourist spots, waterfalls, lakes, coffee estates, scenic points and spending quality time at the beautiful cottage. Rooms : All rooms are maintained professionally like a star rated resort and are equipped with all amenities required. Individual rooms and booking of entire villas is available Food : All meals are available in a timely manner as required and there is always an amazing spread of local delicacies along with different cuisines to choose from. Property and facilities : The Vintage is located on an expansive well maintained farm and is full of beautiful trees and plants. Peacocks and other birds can be seen and heard. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor games available.

The Vintage, as the name implies, took us to a different era that can be a unique experience, while retaining all the amenities that exist only in the current world!! I definitely fell in love with this place within moments of arriving there - the colonial style made me feel like royal, and the natural surroundings made me nostalgic since it gave me a true life-in-a-farmhouse experience that I was always longing for (I grew up in Malnad). If you are like me - the perfectionist (or nitpicky :-) ) sort of person who likes every minute thing to be perfect in your getaway experience, here are a few reasons why I loved this place so much. First off, multiple buildings of different sizes and styles make this place ideal for all situations -- a single-family getaway, a few families camping together or college/corporate groups of varying sizes celebrating special occasions (I was there for a high school reunion). Secondly, the cleanliness and attention to details in all amenities were impeccable! Having lived in America for 22 years now, I often wonder why some very simple 'user-friendly' factors are always overlooked in other parts of the world, but The Vintage pleasantly surprised me with its attention to detail in everything - the size of the sinks, the position of the spouts (I told you I am nitpicky!!), the cleanliness etc., Third, I loved that little outdoor dining area!! it is such a PERFECT place for lunch-dinner-evening snacks-happy hour-heart to heart talks-standup comedy-those special little speeches-karaoke singing-games....you name it!! But if an outdoor setting is not your preference, there is a perfectly cozy and spacious indoor dining hall where these can be done as well. Then there is the neighborhood - a few of us went jogging around the neighborhood in the morning and LOVED the serene nature of the countryside. Plus the vicinity to the town which makes it convenient if you want to make a quick shopping visit and get back to the tranquility of The Vintage. But above all, I loved the hospitality -- the variety and quality of food, the room services, and the genuine customer-oriented service made this experience highly memorable.
