This place need huge improvements in terms of service, hospitality, food and management. Great location of the property by the river and deep inside the forest. I was here for 3 nights with friends and damlil stayed in Suites Room, When, I reached there for check in, it was chaotic at the reception, people were angry for waiting too long to get their rooms, waiting for 30-40 mins, no body was there to attend or manage or control the situation, finally I had to wait for 25-30 mins just to get someone for help to check in, after showing confirmation, the person was clueless and asked me another proof for my booking. Took me 45 mins just to check in.
As I entered the room, it was not properly CLEANED.
The rooms had Jacuzzi in the balcony but, all three room had theirs broken and pasted with duct tape, it was horribly dirty and leaking in my room.
There is no room service, which was already mentioned. But even the housekeeping and other services are horrible and pathetic, even though I had to call for multiple times, no body bothered to answer my call at the housekeeping and when they answered they never sent any one to fix my issue with the DTH connection, Yes, since it was suite room I had TV in my room.
Bathroom was not properly cleaned, there are no hangers to put the towels, basic toiletries were missing, there is no hair dryer in the room.
There are no proper signs of room number, basic instructions are missing and feels like a maze, no lights in corridor or they are mostly turned off. They have so many instructions at the reception and in the whole place but they missed it where it was actually needed,
Food is below average, and the restaurant does not serve food even as A la carte. Below average food quality and options, I asked for Jam and they said they do not had but I had it earlier day in breakfast. There were no butter knife's, even after asking one. That was joke!
The Manager / cashier at the river side restaurant is one of the most arrogant and careless manager I've ever seen. He was rude with everyone. Again, horrible and zero customer service at the river side restaurant.
The only good thing about this place is great location, plenty of adventures and activities, good and clean swimming pool.
It was very expensive stay and very disappointing one! I will certainly not recommend it for the price, service and hospitality. Even, after getting a premium room I had to go through all of these I couldn't imagine what other have to deal with?
But, there are no "good, premium" places around this area, So, choose Wisley and think twice before...
Read moreIt was a thought just came to me. I had read a lot about whistling Woodzs. A plan was made and it happened. Navigating through the roads using the sign boards put up prevented us from using google maps which made reaching the resort much easier. Roads are beautiful and picturesque.
When we reached the resort we were treated with great hospitality. The staff members were very curteous and generous who provided us with a nice room. Advance booking is recommended.
There are many different cottages and rooms starting with budget stay to luxurious premium rooms for us to stay. River view cottages and suite rooms with river side view are beautiful.
There are many day and night activities for us to enjoy like early morning we could go trekking to near by hill top or river side walk. We went up the hill to see the supa dam built across Kali river. At night time camp fire is set up with music for everyone to relax. During the day many activities such as boating, swimming pool, sky cycling, giant swing, and zip line are available to have great experiences.
Some of the memorable experiences are river rafting, rollercoaster zip line which is also India's longest zip line.
Note worthy point is that the Internet and voice network available is airtel only.
In the end some new ideas for development of the resort that I would like to add are : Slides in swimming pool Indoor games for certain people Gaming room with ar, vr interaction would be great. And water world which I heard is coming up in the near future.
In conclusion I would like to say that the experience that we have gained here are ever lasting and visiting here once in a life time should not be missed as the resort is for all age groups from children to senior citizens. Its truly a home...
