I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bell Farms & Resort, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beauty of the surroundings and the warm hospitality of the staff. Nestled amidst lush and picturesque landscapes, surrounded by backwaters in Munroe Island, the resort provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I found myself constantly in awe of the scenery, and I couldn't help but appreciate the effort put into maintaining this slice of heaven. The accommodations at Bell Farms and Resort are equally impressive. I stayed in one of their luxurious cottage rooms, and it was spacious, well-appointed, and exuded a charming rustic charm. The attention to detail in the decor, coupled with the modern amenities, made for a comfortable and cozy stay. The dining experience at Bell Farms and Resort is a culinary delight. The on-site restaurant offered a diverse menu with a focus on local, seasonal ingredients. Each meal was a delectable journey for the taste buds, and the attentive service made dining a pleasure. I was impressed by the chef's creativity and commitment to offering a wide variety of options for different dietary preferences. Some places, you go for things to see and do. Some places elevate experiences way beyond seeing and doing. This happens when the people running things give you experiences you cannot forget. Bell Farms is one such place. First the things to see and do.... The Munroe islands is a beautiful quiet place with hundreds of small canal ways through which you sail on your little country boat. Bells Farms is tastefully made up with cozy corners, beautiful equipped cottages, amazing location (wlith the railway line running so close, it became one of the highlights), super Kerala food, on the house paddle boats, kayaks to sail on your own around the farmstay and loads of veggies -brinjal, chillies, cucumber, etc. to pluck and add to your meals. And now about the people -- Anoop, the efficient, extremely helpful manager, (my photographer 😀) Gogol, Ajith, Ranjith, Mohan the class entertainer boatman and an enthusiastic gentleman, the kitchen staff, the beautiful ladies, who manange the garden, the kitchen..and several more whose names I didn't get....these guys are great, kind people who take the phrase service with a smile quite seriously and with full honesty. It seems to be a company culture to treat their guests so warmly, 'coz the owner of this resort, Mr. Sherimon (I hope i got his name right) also spoke to us on a call from Oman to check how was our experience. We had our annual family get-together at Bell Farm and Resorts, Munroe island Kollam on 30th April,2025. The Resorts provides a very tranquil atmosphere suiting the temperament of all the members. The cruise through the Ashtamudi lake in a mechanized boat was an exhilarating experience.Our standing in the kandal forests just in two feet water with the sprawling big lake stretching all around us is similar to the experience one gets in Poomthotta in Ernakulam. The more adventurous can go rowing pedal boats or use paddles. The accompanying staff and the boat driver are very hospitable.The boat driver gave us a clear idea of the topography and history of the Munroe Islands.That he is a gifted singer was another blessing the tourist gets. About their hospitality everyone would have only good things to say. They are courteous and very helpful in extending physical assistance to the elderly. The Culinary skill of their chef is marvellous. The different varities of fish preparations are a real treat to the connoisseurs of good food. The taste of Karimeen fry and kakka thoran will linger in your palate for days and days. Far from the madding crowd ,Bell Farm and Resorts provides a very tranquil atmosphere with the silence being broken occasionally by the speeding trains.
