Bougainville Resort — Hotel in Kerala

A 4 star rating only due to one reason. One of the rooms does not have an attached bathroom and toilet and there isn't even a common bathroom for the guests in this bedroom to us use outside.

The food ordered from a nearby hotel wasn't to the sort of satisfaction one would expect while relaxing. While it wasn't bad, they do not know much about North Indian food.

However the caretaker, Sukumaranettan is a gem of a gentleman who was always very accommodating and always with a smile. He regaled us with a bit of history of the surroundings, culture, events of the surrounding place.

The access road to the bungalow is very very bad and it really needs to be looked into most immediately.

But it is one beautiful place, well located with a fantastic pool, though small and we spent hours in it during this season as it is a great feeling of swimming in rains.

The most important aspect of the service was that the bed linen was very very clean, devoid of any food stains, hair and dirt smudges of being used by previous guests. This ISKON gave me a very option about the care taken by the owners who understand the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and comfort.

It's peaceful, private and filled with the sound of birds and insects and the mountains are just lovely to just sit and gaze at while rain clouds weave their way across, around and over them.... it's beautiful.

Thoroughly enjoyed this homestay and am waiting to visit it again before the rains end.

A delightful stay at Bougainville Resort!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bougainville Resort, and I must say, it was a truly enjoyable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the wonderful ambience of the place. The resort exudes a sense of tranquility and serenity, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional care taker. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality truly made me feel at home. The rooms at Bougainville Resort were another plus. They were neat and clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing space to unwind after a day of exploring. I appreciated the attention to detail in maintaining the cleanliness of the rooms. Bougainville!!! It was exactly like the photos in the brochures - if not better!

Beautifully designed and tastefully decorated… Every room was perfectly clean and well-maintained, and the whole place felt peaceful and welcoming. It was so refreshing to arrive and find everything just as promised. Much appreciation to the property owner (Jiby) for the exceptional hospitality.

What made our stay even more special was the incredible care and attention from the villa’s caretaker (Sukuettan). The perfect host—warm, attentive, and always available if we needed anything and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable.
