Fathima Residency — Hotel in Kerala

The staff at the reception were extremely rude. I made a reservation by paying an advance and they gave me a receipt saying the check-in was at 12pm. But when we reached, they argued saying the check-in is at 5pm!!! WHO, IN THEIR RIGHT MIND, CHECKS INTO A HOTEL AT 5PM?

This policy doesn't make sense and it wasn't informed to me at the time of booking. They argued with us and finally when we got a man to speak to them, they seemed okay and let us in. This was disrespectful, weird, and sexist.

We requested for extra towels and they wouldn't give them to us until we returned the ones in the room. Another reason to not go here. Why would you wanna pay to be hosted with suspicion?

It was a relief that the rooms were nice. Don't expect hot water, they'll annoy you enough to not need it. They have a spacious parking area but a very narrow entrance, so you could easily miss the place and drive past it. We made a booking for a family function. The rooms were renovated quiet recently. So it was neat and clean.

The disappointing factor is the service provided and the behaviour of the staffs. After the booking was made for each query they'll say, "will update you" and we have to follow them up 3-4 times to get an answer. One among the very few options available in Pathanapuram and is maintained really well. They have enough rooms spread in three floors and AC and non AC rooms are available. Two types of non AC rooms are available and higher rent is really good compared to cheaper one. AC Rooms are clean than non AC rooms.
